Sometimes melodies just get poured into my head (from somewhere). This one appeared a few months ago and "called me" so I wrote it the way it hit me. Hope you enjoy, AND I really appreciate your feedback so much. This is an amazing forum!! Take care. Greg

hello Greg Johnson
this is so beatle worthy... nice vocals... so beautiful!
Greg,
You really have channeled the Beatles here. That's a
really strong melody.
Love the vocal as always -wonderful instrumentation and arrangement.
Incredibly impressive.
(I'd probably get rid of the intro clicks..
)
Peter
Hi, Greg !:))
This is one of your best
without doubt !:))
Wonderful vocal to
this lovely tune !:))
Loved it !
Cheers
Dani
Absolutely wonderful!
Did not sound like a religious song until I absorbed the lovely lyrics.
Sounds totally pro to me.
Cheers.
Nice one, Greg! Love the melody.
Is that a live guitar in there?
Great melody, arrangement, performance and production. Your vocals are always so easy to listen to. This was a perfect melody match for your vocals. Enjoyed this a lot.
Charlie
Greg you are one of my favorite vocalists on the forum. This song is one of your best. Well done.
Beautiful moody song, excellent arrangement and vocals, the Beatles and John Lennon have to be mentioned here
Could you put the BIAB information, I could use some of the instruments on my Lennonish song
Janne
Hi Greg,
It's always a treat for the rest of us when you show up with your great music. As mentioned previously, this very much has a Lennon sound to it - more so John Lennon than the Beatles as a whole.
Fabulous vocal. the arrangement is superb as is the mix. Love the song and the message. Your vocal just makes it that much more enjoyable. Fabulous song and performance.
Wishing you the very best,
Alan
Nice work, Greg
As others said, this is definitely reminiscent of The Beatles! I really loved the effects on the vocals here. They helped breathe life into the performance, and really gave the tune a certain vibe I don't often hear on the forums here. Overall, it's just an example of a well written and well thought out song.
You should be proud of this one - thanks so much for sharing!
Greg,
Yes, the best melody John never wrote and a fine vocal to make it soar!
Very nice simple arrangement - especially that phased? guitar.
Your muse really came through on this one.
Robert
It is amazing the quality that is hitting this forum lately!
Like Kenny's latest, EVERYTHING about this is STELLAR!
The opening is SO nicely put together. The beginning guitars are like nothing we've heard before, the addition of the strings and then THOSE DURMS!! Awesome. Excellent arrangement throughout. The return to simple guitars between verses was superb! All a perfect bed for the vocal...
And what a vocal! Gorgeous.
A stunningly beautiful write. I love the way you use words. A melody to die for.
Have to say again... This is about as good as it gets.
WOW.
floyd
What a great vocal range you show us here.
Reminds a little of a John Lennon vocal style.
Great message and well written.Rob
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Peter! I am one of the early Beatle fans. I remember walking with my 16 year old cousin, holding her hand (I was about 8) and listening to I wanna hold your hand on a transistor radio. THose were the days! Take care. Greg
This is by far one of my favorite things from you.
It is also one of my favorite things on the forum.
This is a masterpiece. I see other have mentioned the Beatles. I would narrow it down even further to John Lennon. Not just sounding like John Lennon. I mean channeling John Lennon. Spooky.
Drums are fantastic. Is that you playing the guitar?
Are you going to keep us guessing on the real tracks and production. I wanna know how you did this.
Awesome Greg.
Mr. Johnson:
The spiritual sincerity of your lyrics for "Dream Love" combined with the dreamy, quietly mesmerizing mood of your music sent the song into my heart like a hospital ship searching for lost souls.
Your singing voice fully embraces and projects the guiding, hopeful light shining from your lyrics. "Dream Love" could be a "go-to" song for anyone attempting to "deny the darker voice".
"Dream Love" is memorable, inspiring, and touched with beauty of sound and substance, Mr. Johnson.

P.S. Now, I understand why you always close your "User's Forum" posts with the words, "take care"!

Greg
I guess that would be say 1965 based on our age bracket! Hope you enjoyed your milestone this year.
Hello, Greg
Really good melody with the characteristic chord progression!
Also very nice and pleasant vocal.
As Peter said, you really have channeled the Beatles here.
And as Rob said, what a great vocal range you show us here.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.
Best regards.
Shigeki Adachi
Well, since folks are mentioning who it reminds them of.....
For us it’s like John singing a Paul write with a Pet Sounds mystique...or something like that
Your tendency toward positivity is always welcome and this certainly does not disappoint with the perfect vocal and arrangement to carry the message.
Well done!

THanks Dave. Really appreciate the nice feedback! No, the guitar is Brent (he's my fave in the box). I'll post the RTs soon. Take care. Greg
Nice one.
I agree... this is the missing Beatles track from their Sgt Pepper album.
Nice write too.
Everything about this is very good.
WOW Greg!! What a great tune!! As others have mentioned, it's very Beatlesque! Puts me very much in mind of Lennon's "Dear Prudence" , but truly stands on it's own! You have been producing some very good stuff lately and I am much impressed with your skills! Keep on rockin' Take care, Torrey

Greg you are one of my favorite vocalists on the forum. This song is one of your best. Well done.
Thanks so much Scott for the incredibly nice words! Just listened to your new one-VERY SWEET!! Take care. Greg
Well, this is simply fantastic. Simple as that!
So many mentioned the Beatles and Lennon, and rightly so.
I'd say that this song actually reminded me of "Free as a bird", which is Lennon / Beatles produced by Jeff Lynne. And indeed, the sound of your voice reminds me of Jeff Lynne a bit, but the melody is totally Lennon.
Anyway, this was a great listen. A real pearl.
Well... it hit you in a very cool way indeed!
The chord progression is awesome, so is the melody you sing (which is perfectly sung as always
)
Now we're going to sit and wait until we get a certain hit too
Rob and Anne-Marie

That was my immediate vibe too, 70's Harrison or Lennon are just swimming all over this one - Not a shabby company to be in
