EmGC Ooh, ooh, isn"t it heaven
DmFG Ooh, ooh it's a bit like paradise
EmGC Ooh, ooh isn't it heaven
DmFAm Ooh if this is love
GC It's a lot like paradise

Golden dream, blond shaft of light
electric glances piercing the night
in darkened places, secret friend
heartbeat races once again

I don't remember what I was looking for
whatever she brings me, I just want more

EmGC Ooh, ooh, isn"t it heaven
DmFG Ooh, ooh it's a bit like paradise
EmGC Ooh, ooh isn't it heaven
DmFAm Ooh if this is love
GC It's a lot like paradise, paradise

stop, solo
petals from roses shower on your face
a thousand kisses soon take their place
meet me at midnight, I'll see you soon
stand in the starlight, watching the moon

This is the answer, and something more
this is the promise, what I waited for

EmGC Ooh, ooh, isn"t it heaven
DmFG Ooh, ooh it's a bit like paradise
EmGC Ooh, ooh isn't it heaven
DmFAm Ooh if this is love
GC It's a lot like paradise
paradise

Dear Mr. Rockwell...

"Paradise" has a driving, pounding, dance-all-night, "wall-of-sound" production sheen that is totally reminiscent of the best of the Disco era. The musical effects are colorful and ear-filling, the vocal harmonies suitably "spacey". It belongs in a rock opera with Annie Lenox and Deborah Harry taking their turns at the microphones.

Dazzled,

LOREN

The backing track has bit scary mood giving interesting contrast to vocals and 'paradise' message, kind of synthesis of ELO and Alice Cooper smile Solo guitar is superb and harp is nice addition.

Hey Will - a really big sound here. A nice mix of vintage and 80s to my ears.

I fully agree with Loren's comment regarding Debby Harry and Annie Lenox - this is a perfect write for either of them. But what you have here isn't too shabby either! Enjoyed it a lot.

Interesting comments about the female vocal possibilities, I may look into having Tina sing this.
The ELO observation is on the money, the production sound was influenced by Jeff Lynne and, surprise, Metallica. When I first laid down the open it reminded me of Sandman, and I decided to go with it. Also a little Georgio Moroder.

Love the style you have on this one Will. Enjoyed this one very much, definitely gave me an 80's rock vibe.

The song actually was started in the 80s, I wrote the chorus for my wife just before we got married.

Man, what an effective and massive wall of sound! I’m glad we enjoy other’s productions like this because we certainly can’t do it.

Well done. Sounds tremendous on the KRK’s.

Hi,
Excellent production! Professional in every way...You should be doing this for the Big $$$$! What mixing and mastering "secrets" would you be willing to share?

Get some of your great work "licensed and out-there" on TV, movie soundtacks, and commercials!

Respectfully,
