Hi all. Not sure if the Oooh's fit this song?
I deliberately wrote this to sound like something from the fifties.
Let me know what you think.
All comments welcome. Rob

Oh Baby. Talking bout my sweet baby.
Im feeling kinda hazy bout my sweet baby doll.

Where walking stroll along and where talking.
I'll always want you near me as sweet baby doll.

Chorus
We'll walk the avenue, take in view.
I'm so plum crazy about. You you and only you

Bridge
Blooming all flowers are blooming now you got me
swooning for my sweet baby doll.

I'm holding your tiny hand my worlds revolving
I'm so beholding to my sweet baby doll

Chorus
We'll walk the avenue, take in view.
I'm so plum crazy about. You you and only you

Bridge

Chorus

We'll walk the avenue, take in view.
I'm so plum crazy about. You you and only you

Rob,

This is excellent - almost a late 40s early 50s sound. Love the overall production - bass line and horns are great!

Rob, I agree with Bob about the late 40’s to early 50’s sound. Mainly because of the dominance of the horns/ big band sound. A really well done clean sounding track with a great vocal like you always produce! Thanks, Torrey

Rob, this has that swing big band thing in spades. Great vocal. I sure did enjoy it. This type of music was played by my Mother on an old piano in our house growing up. Memories.... Tom

Rob,

MY KINDA MUSIC!!!!

This is excellent. I love the arrangement. I also found myself smiling heaps at how you used language from the period to help boost the authenticity of the composition! That's paying attention to detail smile

It's energetic thumbs up from me.

All the best,
Noel

Your vocal and lyric are perfect for the laid-back big band style.

I enjoyed listening to it.

Really nice job on this one smile It is very reminiscent of 40's/50's big band. I love the happy vibe of this one - it's easy to move along and tap your foot to. I'd imagine this sound incredible performed live.

Awesome work, and thanks for sharing smile

I really like the mood of the song, creating image of Elvis singing in a Hawaii T-shirt on a soundtrack of a Christmas movie from 50's. Great use of the horns and oohs smile

Rob,
You nailed the period sound on this- the bass and horns are great and I liked those RT oohs (first time I`ve heard them used here).
You always deliver on the vocals and this is no exception- very cool tune!

Hello, Rob

Super Vocal as always!
Nice old standard tune!
The big band track is also very effective with using only necessary parts.
As D. Cuny said, your vocal and lyric are perfect for the laid-back big band style.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

This is a perfect reproduction of that typical 50s sound.
And yes, your vocals are getting better with every song, it seems.

COOL!

Like Tom, I (Bud) also heard this style frequently as a kid. Janice and I listen to big band swing to this day. We are both Ella, Frank and Duke fans. It's always nice to hear a cool swing and be reminded of why we love the era.

You pulled it off extremely well Rob.

Thanks for sharing.

You certainly do this big band era very well.
You are versatile man.
Nice backing too.
Love that bass.
