Hi all. Just a simple little folk tune. All comments welcome.
You cant take it with you

Ive lived my life of pleasure and pain.
If you ask me now I'll tell you the same.

You live your life try to do good.
Perform deeds that are kind like any man would.

You cant take it with you when you die.
You cant take it with you and that's no lie.
You cant take it with you its so profound.
You cant take it with you to that hole in the ground.

Bridge

You cant take it with you when you die.
You cant take it with you and that's no lie.
You cant take it with you its so profound.
You cant take it with you to that hole in the ground.

Many a body lay in the grave.
Waiting for their name to be called that day.
The final trumpet calls - out aloud.
Gonna wake you up from that hole in the ground

You cant take it with you when you die.
You cant take it with you and that's no lie.
You cant take it with you its so profound.
You cant take it with you to that hole in the ground.

Bridge

You cant take it with you when you die.
You cant take it with you and that's no lie.
You cant take it with you its so profound.
You cant take it with you to that hole in the ground.
You cant take it with you to that hole in the ground.

Spiff! I love that Elvis vibe you've got going.

I especially liked the instrumental breaks and the occasional "oh-oh" background vocals.

Thanks for listening Bob.Rob
I can't take it with me when I die but it's likely to make it to my car stereo. Very enjoyable listen.
I really enjoyed the use of the mandolin. Awesome job. smile
Very cool chord progression on this tune. Excellent choice of backtracks. Your vocal sits in the song just perfect. Mandolin solo was excellent as well
Rob, that is a great song in every way, lyrics, vocals, all the band was cooking on it!!!!
Good one, Rob!
This has a timeless quality... rather like the song`s message.
Your choice of style, and arrangements lifts the mood from preachy to catchy - love the fiddle break and the background vocals.

Hello Charlie.Thank you.Rob
Really well done, Rob smile The mandolin was a fantastic addition. This tune has so much life to it - from the Elvis-esque vocal performance, to the addictive groove, to the introspective lyrics. I love the way the beat kind of "shuffles" as well.

Great work here - thanks for sharing!
Excellent work, Rob. I love the sentiment, lyrics, and the first class vocals and harmonies. Then there's the rhythm, the instrumental parts, well all of it really! And a great job on engineering and mixing.

Hello Scott. Thank you.Rob
Rob, this really takes me back to some of the music I remember as a child in the early 60's on the radio! You always do these so well and your vocal shines once again! Thanks, Torrey
Hello, Rob

A timeless and nostalgic minor melody with melancholy is very comfortable.
It reminds me of The Platters' "Sixteen Tons" or John Leyton's "Johnny Remember Me" a little bit.
And I agree with LPman.
The vocals and backup vocals so classic... feel right.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.
