Hello, forum friends

Recently Yamaha has released Vocaloid 5 and I bought an upgrade version of it.
In order to get used to the operation of it, I am working on the music production using it very hard now. This song is also one of them.

Pachelbel's canon has been used often as a material of pops since long ago.
I think that the chord progression (I - V - VIm - IIIm - IV - I - IV - V7) is very compatible with the contemporary pops and easy to create familiar melodies with it.
I tried making a simple canon based on Pachelbel's Canon this time as well.

Any comments encouraged.
Always welcome.

Best regards.

Shigeki Adachi

Summary of lyrics:

Moi, je t'aime, toi, tu m'aime
Nous, on s'aime, toujours et à jamais
You and I, we found the paradise

Only you have the key to my heart.
Only I know the warmth of you

Moi, je t'aime, toi, tu m'aime
Nous, on s'aime, toujours et à jamais
You taught it to me with your small wings

Every time you touch my heart, I can be reborn again
We are linked by certain stuff tightly more than oath or prayer forever

Moi, je t'aime, toi, tu m'aime
Nous, on s'aime, toujours et à jamais
You and I, we will go upstairs to the paradise

I am always dreaming in your big arms
If I extend my hands and hold you
Tomorrow will start in our hearts

Moi, je t'aime, toi, tu m'aime
Nous, on s'aime, toujours et à jamais
You taught it to me with your small wings

Only you have the key to my heart
Only I know that warmth of you
What an amazing technology. Just a lovely song. Very cool
Shigeki,

Very enjoyable with that melodic link to Pachelbel (that`s about as irressistable as a melody can be- I wrote my first song based on it!).
The vocaloid here sounds cute ( can`t think of a better word), and I like the harmonies - are those generated using the BiaB harmoniser?

Robert
Great work on this! Very gorgeous vibe and quite uplifting. The string instrumentation makes it sound quite royal, and love the synthesized vocals too. Fantastic!
Shigeki Adachi,

A very enjoyable listen. An excellent arrangement and mix.

Nice use of the chord progression.

Pleasant listen - well done! smile
Wow - what a tune! Canon in D major is a personal favourite of mine, and this was a gorgeous and powerful ode. This sounds magical and captivating. Simply put, you came up with a beautiful song here. The way you incorporated both male and female vocaloids here was stunning.

Not a thing I'd change on this one - thanks for sharing smile
Shigeki..I’m enjoying the way you are proceeding as you get to know the new software tool. Your “experiments” are very professional, and the lyric is also of high quality. Once again, I am sad that I don’t understand the Japanese language in order to get the nuance of your lyric and how you are utilizing the vocaloid technology...it sounds wonderful!

Lots of fun Shigeki!

Yes, where would Western or Japanese music be without this chord progression.

Don't know about you guys, but 95% of our songs would disappear if God took this chord progression away.

smile
This song sounded like it was a lot of fun to make. Really nice job.
Shigeki

Very pretty sounding - lovely backing and nice use of Vocaloid - especially when both voices sing.
Nice work and the strings are superb.

Peter
Shigeki you are a Vocaloid expert. This is a beautiful song with a great arrangement and backing tracks.
I think have heard this chord progression couple of times in my life, also on this forum smile But good to learn its origin.

You have added nice melody to the progression. Good work on the arrangement and Vocaloid.

Janne
Wow!!! Your Vocaloid skills just get more and more magical.

What a wonderful use of that progression.

And the orchestra you put together is equally wonderful.

Amazing production!

J&B
very nice!

thanks for sharing this

enjoyed the listen very much

That was fun.
I had to learn the original melody and variations when learning cello - as an adult.
It's lovely to listen to but dead boring to play the entire Canon through.
You livened it up for me - ta!
Hi Shigeki!

What a wonderful production!Your music is always among the very best on the forums. This is additional proof of that. Simply fantastic! great use of the vocaloid - particularly when they were playing off each other. Best to you.

Alan

Yes, vocaloid5 is amazing. I am surprised myself.
Combining the original highlight melody of Pachelbel's canon with this progression is a routine work, there are many similar arrangements in the past as well.
I listened to them very carefully and studied the way.

I love anime music, and this one could easily fit into one of those TV shows, like an intro or something.
The transpose trick is a real stroke of genius and very cleverly utilised, just brilliant cool

- Arigato!!
Shigeki Adachi,

This really is such a beautiful creation.

Once again, your flair for composing wonderful melodies shines bright and strong. I absolutely love the journey that you took me on. It was a pleasure just to sit back and let your music carry me along.

Some of the words and phrases that came to mind as I listened were: exquisite, haunting, terrific arrangement, I wish I could write melodies like this, that vocaloid sounds awesome, beautiful music....

I found this very, very enjoyable on all levels.

All the best,
Noel

Hello, Noel

Thank you very much for taking the time to listen and comment.
I am really glad you like this tune.
I am always very encouraged by your kind words.

I love classical music very much and occasionally ask classical music for ideas of my songs. This tune is one of them.
I often listen to Bach when I am stuck on composing.
Also I listen to CDs of my favorite composers such as Aznavour, Francis Lai, Michel Legrand, Tom Jobim, Piazzolla and etc. repeatedly.
I think that perhaps it is tied to the idea of my melodies.

Thanks again for your nice words.
I am always looking forward to your comment.

All the best,
Shigeki Adachi
