Rough translation...
Listen to the song of this clear water
Which flows wisely towards the river.
This little brook hums an air
That I like well
You will love the water song too.

Flowing proudly straight to the sea.

Listen to the song of the ocean.
Do you hear her swaying?

Lovely stuff.

Really nice work here! A nice, relaxed, easy to take song. And thanks rayc for the translation - those are really lovely lyrics indeed smile The backing tracks fit perfectly too, and the vocal performance is strong and distinct.

Thanks for sharing!

Ha, you won me as soon as I connected with the time signature.

You have masterfully created a song that has a perfect 'Made In France' label stamped all over it.

I also loved the connection of the different measures that water takes on its journey. Nice.

I really like this song! Even if it didn't have French lyrics I would have recognized it as a French song just from the arrangement that was chosen. You did a really great job. Thanks for sharing!

Hello, Chris

Really nice chanson.
The melody is very beautiful.
It is reminiscent of Georges Brassans and Marcel Mouloudji.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Very nice Chris, I must think of Georges Moustaki. Beautiful arangements. Very poetic.

Thanks for your comments Scott, Shigeki, Alan and Rob !
Georges Brassens is my favorite singer. I like too Mouloudji's melancholic voice and Moustaki's sweet voice. Christian

Thoroughly enjoyed this! So authentic to the style, with a simple yet thoughtful lyrical message. I couldn't suggest a single Improvement in this, I thought everything was perfect. Well done!

Sweet & melodic, with a touch of melancholy - just pure bliss to the ear! cool

p.s. I actually feel that for some music it helps more than hurts not understanding the words (if that makes any sense), this being a prime example right here.
