I submitted this track to a contest with some strict rules.
I had to use 3 of 8 provided sounds. One of the sounds were called "bubble"... the sound reminded me of frogs... hence the title of this track.

Tropical Frogs

I combined the 3 sounds I had to use with the following RealTracks:

RT2696: Bass
RT2700: Synth
RealDrum: TropicalHouse
RT2701:Synth, TropicalhouseSaw

Will
Well done Will Josef, this was wonderful! Fantastic selection of instruments here and the vibe is very appealing. The Synth bass is wonderful! Looking forward to hear more.
Thank you very much, Joe! I got my inspiration from concerts I have experienced in the past with Sly Dunbar & Robbie Shakespeare. That is an amazing rhythm group/duo.

Will
Sly & Robbie are good sources of inspiration. I saw them on two consecutive nights with Bob Marley & the Wailers in 77.
The style isn't my cup of tea but the sound is excellent.
Mr. Josef...

You should playback your track to the frogs that inspired you so. Oh, how mean and green would their dancing be laugh !!!

Talk about "rockin' the house"!!! Those RealDrums are an explosion of percussion. The beat is huge and hypnotic. That synth line is playful and upbeat. Once again, you chased out the minor key in a "major" way.

I dig being under the roof of your "house", "Will Josef" !!!

LOREN
Don't know anything about this genre so can't comment on that aspect.

Mix sounds good, drums are huge! wink
Very interesting rhythm, quite psychedelic. I'm sure frogs would like to dance to this smile

Janne
This sounds pretty good. I can see it playing in the back ground and for dancing. Well done
We have to say that this is really refreshing.
We seldomly hear rhythm based music here on the forum and it is a welcome change.
Good work!

Rob and Anne-Marie
Will is in the HOUSE!! Very good sounding track. I think the melodic part (keys basically) could have been brought in a bit earlier. Nice sound! Nice job! Take care. Greg
rayc, LOREN, Dave, Janne, Scott, Rob, Anne-Marie and Greg,

I thank you all very much for listening to my track. I appreciate that a lot knowing very well that it is probably not the style of music you would choose to listen to when relaxing at home with a nice cup of tea. smile

Take care,
Will
I can definitely hear what you mean by "frogs!" I actually enjoy that bubble sound. Thanks for sharing!

I, for one, listen to ALL genres of music, and "house" music, in my opinion, is one of the most exhilarating developments in dance music that I've ever heard. It's almost tribal in its rhythmic power and provides fantastic opportunities to experiment with electronically-produced sounds.

LOREN
Yeah, I don't listen to house music often. Having said that, I think you should have brought in the synth sooner than past one minute into the tune and then add/subtract layers to the sound every 20 seconds or so to keep it interesting.

All in all, interesting stuff.
Not a familiar genre but the mix sounds great and the backstory is very cool!!
