Scott

Nice melodic soothing instrumental with some pretty playing. Nice clean tone - did you use the Gretsch in the photo?
Good work.

Hi Scott C, great work on this! Excellent mixdown on all of this and the instruments are layered nicely. The guitar sure howls! Adding the piano to this is a nice touch. Great work!

The strings were singing.

Reminds me of those early sixties instrumentals, but better. Nice work. I enjoyed the listen.

Nice tune Scott, somehow it reminds me of the Santo & Johnny stuff.
Good mix and playing.

"Scott C"...

There is a tender, wintry soulfulness in your guitar instrumental piece, "Steppin' Out", the title of which is interesting as it suggests something along the lines of revelry!

The comment posted on your SoundClick page by "ed_shaw" captures the loveliness of the melody -- "singing strings", he wrote.

Your RealTracks selections as heard through the filter of your chord progression and your chosen tempo create a sense of blissful timelessness, of looking into the sky, of entering into silence without hesitation.

This certainly sounds like music from the heart, "Scott C".

Very nice, Scott! You definitely have a signature sound and style, and that is a good thing!

Enjoyed the listen.

Wow - this is stunning smile The guitar work here is so dreamy and beautiful. I love how the guitar hovers above everything else. It gives it an ethereal, watery feel. Definitely easy to get lost in this one.

Great work, and thanks for sharing!

ONE of THE best tunes I've heard from you yet Scott, this is really fantastic. Got a Hank Marvin feel to it which I really love.
Great mix of other instruments too

Scott,

Lovely playing - this has a spiritual wonder to it- the feeling is communicated so well.
The clear tone you use sounds all the better for the change that comes in part way through.
Up there with your best.

As always very melodic playing with a light touch. The clean tone and delay work well with this piece. Well done, Tom

Beautiful melodic playing and tone Scott!! For me, the guitar may be a bit loud for the backing track but the song is SWEEEEEET! Great job!! Take care. Greg

Scott,

This is nice. It reminded me of some of the instrumentals that Glen Campbell used to do - so clean and so deliberate, melodic...

Well done.

Scott,

Beautiful melodic playing and tone!
Sweet song!
Your guitar, your signature delay sound is much more comfortable than usual in this tune.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Silky smooth and melodic. And, as others have mentioned, the tone fits the mood perfectly.

Ethereal and engaging.

Very nicely performed and produced!

Thanks Greg for checking out the song and the heads up on the volume. I have been mixing on my headphones as my monitors are set more for playback when I am jamming with the backtracks. Glad you liked the song

Scott, on this track, I liked how your playing maintained the pace of the style...didn't try to rush or jam in more notes than warranted, and that made the track very easy to listen to, and nicely paced...not to mention that fine bell-like tone you get from your guitar, so clear and clean. Good work, and a nice listen!
