Hi all,
Here's a french song about violins ! Christian

RT 914 Acoustic Bass
RT 365 Acoustic Guitar
RT 665 Acoustic Guitar
RT 2338 Violin
RT 2337 Violin
RT 2336 Viola

I've tried to translate the lyrics in English :

When I ear the song of these violins,
I always feel the same sensation.
Some notes, by their vibration,
awaken in me a strange emotion.
That's the magic of music
with its magnetic power.
Strings have found their target,
they have struck a chord with me.

And I board for a musical trip,
a fragile island,vegetal treasure.
There are melodic flowers
which grow quietly and communicate.
On the paths around this island,
I feed myself with subtle notes
coming from this harmonic land,
fertile in poetic flavours.

Really nice work! Love the atmosphere of the song. It has a certain floaty feeling to it. Really strong vocals on it too. I really liked that you put the translation too. I enjoyed the lyrics too - thanks for sharing smile

Hi Chris37, this was wonderful! The arrangement is a pleasure to listen to. Really managed to get all of the violins sounding grand together! Very captivating lyrics too (and thank you for translating them). Keep it up!

It has been a really long time since I last studied French, but the feeling of this song was very whimsical. Thanks for sharing!

Hello, "Chris37"...

Among the rich and varied pleasures to be had by listening to a piece of music, what could be more gratifying than listening to someone singing about music itself???

And the way you sing about the object of your affection -- "the song of these violins" -- is touching, literally, "Chris37". Dare I describe it as a love song? Why not? Your lyrics are unapologetically declarative in their expression of a passion for something that one loves:

"There are melodic flowers
which grow quietly and communicate.
On the paths around this island,
I feed myself with subtle notes
coming from this harmonic land,
fertile in poetic flavours."

There's no other word but "beautiful" to describe those lines of verse. They could only have originated in your soul, defined thusly: "emotional or intellectual energy or intensity, especially as revealed in a work of art or an artistic performance." So, there you have it, and quite simply, too.

You're an artist, "Chris37", and your song, "Le chant de ces violons" is a unique and lovely thing to hear.

Chris,

Very nice melody!
Beautiful chanson.
Especially the melody development and the chord progression in the second half are really good.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.
