Mr. Brooks...
I think your "Winter's Song" is an affecting, symphonically satisfying piece of seasonally-themed music. All of the instruments coalesce in a lush, brooding, but harmonically enriching way. Structurally speaking, the song moves in and out of light and darkness in a truly grand, even epic fashion. There are also some chordal constructions here that are startling in the way they color the sound of the orchestra.
You are releasing some really interesting compositions here, lately. You've certainly got me following you!
Through your musical soul,
LOREN
Wow - what a gorgeous tune
Definitely has that wintery vibe. I love how lush and vibrant it is. The textures are stunning and icy, and I thought the progressions on this were great too.
Thanks for sharing!
Hi LOREN!
Damn you know how to sweet talk!!! =D
Thanks for the listen!
All the best,
Dave
Hi "D"!
Thanks for taking time to listen, it really means a lot to me!!!
All the best,
Dave
This song definitely has a very wintery feel to it. Even if the song didn't have the "Winter Song" title I would definitely know this was an instrumental with winter as inspiration.
Thanks for taking the time to share!
Hello Dave, This sounds so fresh! Love how lush the string sections sound and the overall progression on this. The mix sounds very well balanced too. Well done!
Hi Ember!
Thank you for your kind comments!
I must agree with you regarding the title...doesn't really need one does it??? =D
All the best,
Dave
Hey Joe (MF=D)
I really love this song. It kept me cool all Summer long!!! =D
Thanks for the listen...
All the best,
Dave
I really like the way the violins come in, sort of...out of the cold. Really enjoyable.
Hi Dave,
I love the chord progression. Very beautiful soundscapes that you are creating.
I hear some sort of "white noise" on top of the strings. Is that deliberately? Maybe it is just my speakers...
Thanks for sharing such a great tune!
Will
Hello Mr. Sorensen!
Thank you for taking time to listen. I really appreciate your kind words. I'm happy you were able to appreciate this tune in your own way!
All the best,
Dave
Hi Will!
Thanks for listening! I don't remember hearing any "white noise" on top of the strings, but I' go back and listen again.
I think your ears are younger than mine so you could be right. Now, from time to time, I've been known to add a taste of distortion to help the track cut through the other instruments, but I will investigate...
Thanks again,
Dave
Hi Will!
Well I took a re-listen, and didn't find any "white noise" as you believed. Maybe I had my High pass filters set a bit high, but by listening again, I came up with a new mix fix. You are now sitting "in" the orchestra!!! =D
Let me know what you think!!!
All the best,
Dave

"Enchanting" says it all for us!

Hi Ya'll!!!
Thanks for the listen! I'm happy you liked this tune. It was one of those songs that tend to write themselves. You know how you have an idea or concept for a song and by the time you're finished with it, it sounds entirely different? Well this is it...it sounds incredible to me!
One of our members gave me the idea to make a short video for Youtube. If you have a moment give it a spin.
All the best,
Dave

Some of your video pics remind me of when I lived in the upper peninsula of Michigan. I like skiing but I don't know if my legs can do it anymore. I loved listening to this again.
Nice video which reminded me of my childhood where we had more winters with snow. Unfortunately snow is more uncommon these years because of the climate change.
Well done!
Will
Hi Will:
Climate Change? Oh you mean WINTER!!! =D
Thanks for the comments...

I don't think I can say it any better than Loren did.
So +1!
