AVE MARIA on SC, or if you prefer YT, then go HERE

This one is initially one of my entries in last fall's "Xtra" contest, which I've been intending to start posting in here too where there may be more ears to reach, so to speak, but am only first now finding the time to get around to it smirk

Anyway, I'm gonna start this off with my treatment of a well known classical piece, just the fit for an advent sunday - Enjoy! cool

Topped off with a couple of organ tracks (melody and backing), provided by yours truly.
I dig it! Reminds me of Ave Maria meets Whiter Shade of Pale. Thanks for (re)sharing!
Very cool version of the song. I get the Procol Harem vibe as well . Well done..
Love it!!! The Bach/Gounod version is my favourite, too, and you did a splendid job on it :-)
Thanks for the generous feedback, guys, much appreciated as always cool

The Procol Harum allusion is something that honestly was nowhere in my head as I was doing this! But since their most known song (also mentioned above) is of course heavily ripping pages from Bach's work, it's perhaps not surprising that people think of it when hearing other rocked-up versions of classics, like this one.
Very nicely done Eddie!! I also hear the Whiter Shade thing. Really nice playing on this, and excellent mix!! Take care. Greg
Yeah,

This is a cool version for sure.
Eddie, this has such an interesting and different sound but it's all executed with precision and sounds great! Excellent work! Thanks, T
Thanks, Mr. T... and may I say what neat last name you got there cool
I certainly didn't expect to hear percussion. laugh

Cool take on the song.

Well, great! When a song surprises the listener, that's half the battle won right there cool
