This is exceptionally good.

From a lyric writing perspective, I love how you've showed us all just how very effective repetition can be. I'm sure a number of people would look at these words and say something along the lines of "this is a 'simple' and very effective song".

For those of us who spend weeks agonising over which words to choose (when writing lyrics), though, the flow of 'simplicity' is often a very hard-fought battle with words, semantics, syntax, context and musical setting. This seeming 'simplicity' is also one of the main features of songwriting that makes a song memorable. On all fronts, these lyrics are thumbs-up-terrific and so very engaging!

From a melody perspective, I was mesmerised. The slow melodic movement in the A-section leading into the B-section with more melodic movement was a great choice. An equally great choice was the shape of the melody. That B-section really flies high!

All in all from top to tail, this song soars (literally and figuratively). What a way to close 2018!
