all tracks used BB and Real Band ,harmonica and double bass are us .
we gig these songs live and just take out the bass harp and vocal,s .
mixed in cubase ,saved into mp3 and played via my mobile phone into the PA ,works a treat .yes i miss playing in a band but dont miss the stress of band members and there issues ,drunk late and out of tune .ect ect. we still have not worked out what our style would be called yet haaaa.
These have a great sound to them, I can see why you would be a popular pub band. Very fun and the vocals and instrumentation are great.
Like you, Band-in-a-Box has me spoiled. I generally play two ways these days, though I have been in many bands, back when I had the energy to tell the lead guitar player why he could not come to a major gig after drinking a fifth and being too drunk to walk.
1. BIAB. Recording mode.
2. Playing live mode. Sit on a stool with an acoustic with my mouth pointed at a mic. No surprises.
Those are very well done. Nicely put together, well mixed.
Good vocals. Good harp & bass.
Very entertaining.
Welcome to the Showcase.

Enjoyed them a lot! You packed a lot of soul and craftsmanship in these.
P.S. A band of 90s comes to mind Squirrel Nut Zippers
Best regards,
Misha.

ive just checked out the squirrel nut zippers ,they are groovy good call.
Hi Dave,
what a cool tune! Love the contrast between the vocal parts. May I say this: Listening to it made me just feel better than the minute before. A lot better!
Cheers,
Stefan
Cool,
I listened to the 1st listed track.
Languid vocal versus energetic vocal - great dynamic.
Initially I was thrown by the panned bass but it & the male vocal surely would struggle together in the centre.
Nicely dark.
A great set of tunes... Its hard to find a favorite...
They are all very good... I enjoyed listening to them!
Very cool tunes. Sounds like great pub music. Got a bit of a gypsy flare to it as well. Well done.
thank,s stefan
that,s a great compliment ,
thank,s again carlton.
thank,s rayc.
your bang on there with the bass and my vocal ,
i do tend to pan the bass to the left ,i try to give every instrument it,s own little space in the mix.
as ive had no schooling in music i tend to rely on ears a lot ,far too much math,s for my small brain haaa.
so nice word,s used by your good self even if i had to ask the wife what they meant .
thank,s again carlton
thank you very much scott
