I hope you enjoy this little song...

Smell the Fresh Air © J Hughes

Smell the fresh air of freedom
Smell the fresh air of peace
Smell the fresh air of this great country
The good Lord has given you and me

Many through out this old world
Dream of hope and peace
They want to come to this great country
The good Lord has given you and me

Thank the good Lord
Thank the good Lord
Thank the good Lord we are free
Thank the good Lord
Thank the good Lord
Thank the good Lord for his peace

Smell the fresh air of freedom
Smell the fresh air of peace
Smell the fresh air of this great country
The good Lord has given you and me

Dear Jim...

In my last comment on your last post, "Yes, I Do", I said that I hoped I would hear more of your songs, so thank you putting "Smell the Fresh Air" in to circulation here on the User's Forum!

You vocal track has you sounding like a gentle troubadour wandering the hills and valleys, roads and sidewalks of this country, guitar in hand, crooning your song of peace and freedom to grateful listeners who needed to hear it to freshen their outlook on living on the land that feeds them, houses them, and hopefully gives them something to pass on to future generations. The music is calming and reassuring, too.

Lead the way, sir!

Sincerely,

LOREN

Blueage said it so well "Your vocal track has you sounding like a gentle troubadour wandering the hills and valleys, roads and sidewalks of this country, guitar in hand, crooning your song of peace and freedom..."

Positive with many rays of hope!

We enjoyed it...

Dear Jim,

this song may come along as a sweet li'l tune, but in those few lines you express your humanity. Lots of things happening all around the world these days that might make one lose every hope - your song gently puts the train back onto the rails. And although you're singing about America, this should go for any country in the free world.

Nicely sung, Jim, thanks a lot.

Speaking of hope...
Hope you noticed I "photoshopped" that inserted moldy green fence between the viewer & the Statue of Liberty...
Where is my tongue in cheek political icon wink...
Thanks for your kind compliments!

Nice work, Jim smile I like the calming nature of the tune. Subtly catchy too, and easy to tap your foot to. Never a bad thing to have a positive message in today's music too.

Thanks for sharing!

Hi Jim,

I love what Loren said about your creation...

I really cannot write anything that's better than that. Loren's words very eloquently summarise just how I felt when I listened.

As an aside, the minute this started playing, Bobby Darin's "Simple Song Of Freedom" sprang to mind. That puts you in some VERY good company in my book.

All the best,
Noel

Thank you for your kind comments & for the Bobby Darin link...
I can see the similarity in the messages & I was reminded of Bobby's wonderful voice... He truly was great!
BTW, I wrote the tune & created the video during FAWM 2017...
