Hello forum friends. I write a lot of sad songs, none sadder than this one. The link tells the background story. Take care all. Greg

Well done Greg, very nice song and hommage; i pity the poor gal. Can you post your lyrics maybe? F
Wow. What a beautiful song that is so exquisitely sung. There are echos of Lightfoot here. This is one of my favorite songs I have heard on this forum. A+++

Greg...
You do write some sad songs but often sad songs need to be written...
Its hard celebrate a tragedy in life with a happy song!
I enjoyed your tribute.
Beautiful, well written song, wonderful performance.

I read the back story too, very sad, especially someone so young.

A fitting tribute!
We had previously read about that...so sad.

Your tribute is beautifully written, performed, produced and very, very poignant...

Greg,

Beautifully written and sung.
I hadn`t heard this news; its sadly similar to other losses that have been experienced here.Your song gathers up the feelings and makes them universal.

Greg,

I read this story several days ago. And what a shame. I know this hits close to home for you. Really beautiful - if she could hear it I know she would smile and offer an approving smile.

I had mentioned something to you on a previous song a couple of weeks ago ...

You seem to have a special way of commuting with the human soul that few have. You are a special talent, my friend. So well done.

Wishing you & yours the very best ...

Alan

Lovely tribute. Wonderfully warm vocal and as noted above a poignant song.

Excellent emotive work.

What a sad, but also wonderful song... a great tribute to Corona.

I had not heard about the incident before today - what a tragedy! I feel sorry for her family and friends.

Thank you for sharing!

Thanks for taking time to listen and comment. It is truly a tragedy. I will try to post lyrics soon. Take care. Greg

Very feel in this song. Super performance.

Very well done. Sounded a lot like Jackson Browne.... a high compliment in my book.

We state patrol officer shot just a short distance from here. In fact, the perp and his buddies were all well known to the area. I think I heard my wife say that one of the buddies kids was in her class a few years back. So sad that we are living in a day when someone driving a stolen car thinks it's better to kill the cop than to be caught and serve a few months for theft. So sad.

This world is upside down, inside out, and plumb crazy.

Yes indeed, a nicely written song.

Hi, Greg !

Greg, those with better
formulating qualities than
me have already said what I
was thinking so I´ll just
thank you for this lovely
tribute, so very delicately
written and performed !

Take Care !

Dani
We had a personal friend and local police officer shot and killed here in Columbia during a traffic stop. It turned out the guy had a goal of killing a cop. She was such a nice, sweet, funny lady. Just married, had a young step-son who loved her to death. That was 13 years ago. Wow.

Nice tribute.

Best wishes

Greg,

A sad, tragic story.

A beautiful tribute. Beautifully written. Beautifully sung.

(The production and mix are excellent, too).

I hope you have a way of getting this out to the folks in your community.
Such meaningful "reaching out" efforts are sorely needed in this world.
Thanks for sharing (with us and everyone else).
Greg, this is a great song, featuring a very moving performance and tasteful arrangement. And that voice - what I'd give to be able to sing like that.
Cheers,
Mike

Thanks Dave! Yes, it is tragic beyond words. The memorial took place right across the street from my work place on Friday. So unbelievably sad. Take care. Greg

I will be the last to object to sad songs (not having written many merry songs myself ;-)) especially when they are sung so beautifully as you do here.

Rob
Greg, this is one really beautiful tribute! I agree with the Jackson Browne comment - one of my favorite writers. This is so well done. Like Floyd said, I hope you can get this out to her community. I think it would be very well received and appreciated. So glad you share this one with us!
