Hi Folks.
Got a new tune to share. This is another collaboration with
Ray C. I had bones for the short backing track, but hit a roadblock
with it. Ray graciously agreed to collaborate. He came up with very
cool and unusual lyrics specifically for that backing track. It was
almost surreal how it made more and more sense to me as I was getting
accustomed to them. It was a challenging project for me, technically
and artistically. Totally loved the process! My better half, Katya,
helped me with ideas on arranging vocals and participated on back
vocals. Ray - all Lyrics, guitar solo, and overall support.
Katya-vocal arrangement ideas, back vocals. Me-main arrangement,
vocals, mixing. Robots-the rest. Constructive suggestions are always
welcomed.

Panacea

Things used. Various midi styles from vArranger, processed/rendered
through BIAB to maintain proper tempo.
Synths are of Halion Sonic.
BIAB:

People playing robots playing people
Each in search of a magic panacea
Cast their votes in simplistic transactions
Like beetles crashing into light bulbs.

Inside the tiny horror
Mirrors reflect the monster within
That’s fighting to get outside
But the easy life is what their minds detected

People playing people playing people
Each in search of a graphic panacea
Sending the ranchers into rain forests
Like beetles crashing into light bulbs.

Acts printed on a circuit
Hidden in folds of skin and carbon
Programmed by the flashing screen
Sublimation says where their mind’s directed

Volume and delay
Making real monsters of the rumors
That still grow within
Consuming all life is what the time’s perfected

Robots playing people playing robots
Each in search of a caustic panacea
Celebration of the darkness inside
Like beetles crashing into light bulbs.

Shout me alive
Shake me from death
Tell me of hope
And each borrowed breath.

Shout me alive
Wake me from death
Give me some hope
With each shallow breath.

A very interesting delivery.

Esoteric, with amazing and intriguing lyrics accompanied by a haunting and evocative melody.

This one is created outside of the square, for sure.

Hi Misha and Ray,
This song sounds for me like an obsessional loop trying to find an exit door. Good work on it ! Christian

"Robots playing people playing robots... Each in search of a caustic panacea"
Interesting thought-provoking lyrics...
Good background tracks, guitar, & vocal...
I enjoyed the listen...
Kudos to all of you... a great collaboration!

Misha is far too generous.
He did the backing and melody PLUS the more exciting lyrical ideas. I simply filled in the blanks.
It was a fun project, done fairly quickly and will lots of positive communication.
The solo is a comp of a couple of BIAB solo slide guitar blues run throughs - generated by the solo maker and contorted to fit the soundscape with some EQ & plugs in Reaper.
thanks Misha & Katya - excellent job by the pair of you.

Misha & Ray,

This is excellent!

A very interesting lyric. A cool sounding backtrack - nice use of synths. And the sound of that snare is killer. Cool guitar.

Good vocals. Good mix. I enjoyed this.

Well done.

Really, really good!

Misha, your music continues to get better and it was good to begin with.

Good writing from you and Ray, and possibly your best vocal yet. Katya sounds good too!

And to top it off, a great sounding mix.

Loved it, well done!

Very interesting backing track with guitars and synths, mixed nicely to fill the stereo field. Not easy to follow the lyrics, but I guess there is some clear message smile

Misha & RayC, Very strong stuff - those rhythmic bones to start with and then the surreal lyrics. I really like the closing lines:

Shout me alive
Shake me from death
Tell me of hope
And each borrowed breath.

Interesting guitars in the background and above all the unmistakeable voice of Misha.
Another very good collaboration!

VideoTrack, Thank you for listening and positive & interesting comments smile

Chris, thank you! Unusual perspective, but I think I know what you talking about.

Jim, thank you for listening and positive comments. Not sure about provocative part... AI is closer then we think.

FJ, Thank you! Ray got me hooked on those lyrics. To me they are like one of those tongue twisters that hard to get out of the head.

Dave, Thank you for listening and excellent feedback. It was a little outside my usual sandbox, but was surely fun. Would never had happened without Ray and Katya on board.

Will, thank you for kind comments.

Janne, thank you! I appreciate your comment on clarity. The pronunciation and mixing are ongoing battles
for me smile

Robert, thank you!
Ray has a very special relationship with words. Sometimes when I listen to tunes with lyrics, I jump ahead and ask: How will you fit those in the composition?? Ray done excellent job on these, maybe just went easy on me smile

Nice collaboration with this Rustyspoon, Katya, and Ray! The chord progression is very captivating and the instruments are layered quite nicely. Love the synth arp outro too. The vocals are quite entertaining from a mixdown process too, Great harmonies and backups. Well done!

Torrey, Stefan, Deryk, Joe, Kenny, Josie
Thank you tuning in and warm & welcoming feedback!

Ezekiel's Storm, all lyric credits go to Ray. When I first read them I found them to be a bit abstract, but then they just hit me smile It was a true pleasure working with Ray on this.

Best regards,
Misha.

You've put together quite a unique and innovative sound and did such an excellent job mashing BIAB with other software, instruments and bringing us quite a complex arrangement. Excellent work from you and all the collaborators.

This is a fine collaboration!

We like the somewhat dystopian lyric...lot's of cool imagery that would make a great video.

All production aspects are very well represented...vocals, write, arrangement, use of the synths and mix. As Gregg Allman would say everything is "hittin' the note!"

A mix like this is way above our paygrade but we can appreciate the effort that it must have taken to get everything in it's "place."

It's sounds GREAT on our monitors. And we will listen some more on a different system.

Kudos y'all!!!!
