The 1st syllable of your vocal has a plosive D that triggers the effects you've used on the voice in an unpleasant way.
The intro whip or laser sound is similarly aggressive and distracting.
Those two things distract from a good song and a properly retro 80's synth pop vibe.
Very majestic "remember" at the intro to verse. Jim is right. I can see this as a stage production. Love the synths.
