Hi all. this is another typical lost love song.
The Fiddle, Soloist GypsyJazzBallad Sw is from another style but really made a great bridge.
All comments welcome. Rob

I cant live

I cant live if living is without you.
cant breath if breath if breathing is without you.
cant wait for you to home.

I cant think if thinking is without you.
cant see if seeing is with out you
cant wait for you to come home.

Chorus
On the day you left me you never said goodbye.
Now I been waiting here for your return.

Ive watched the seasons changing from spring time to the fall.
Ive been waiting here all this time.

Bridge

Chorus
On the day you left me you never said goodbye.
Now I been waiting here for your return

Ive watched the seasons changing from spring time to the fall.
Ive been waiting here all this time.

I can sleep if sleeping is without you.
cant talk if talking is with out you
cant wait for you to home.

I cant sing if singing is with out you.
cant laugh if laughing is with out you.
cant wait for you to come home.

Rob,

Another good one. A nice folk feel with added commercial appeal.

Good vocal, good tracks, well mixed. The fiddle solo is ear-catching.

Well done.

Really nice work on this smile It is beautiful sincere, and really sets a somber mood - which is good, considering I think that's what you set out to do. That fiddle solo fits perfectly and added a great dynamic too.

Thanks for sharing!
a very nice country ballad

good vocals, love that fiddle solo

I cant live if living is without you. a tribute to Pete Ham/Badfinger/Harry Nilsson?

or a subconscious thing, there was a recent discussion about this.

Anyway, it's a good write and makes for an enjoyable listen,

Kenny
Another nicely written song...
Great production & vocal...
And I really liked the solo.
Very nice, Bob!

Good job on the vocals. Well mixed, and good arrangement. Like Floyd said, the fiddle solo is a real "ear-catcher".

Really like this one.

Thank you for listening and commenting Floyd.
This song has an almost melancholic vibe to it, and it's very beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
Sad, but not overly sad and dark. Sounds like there's still some hope left. Nicely done.
Bob, another goodie.
The fiddle solo is cool but a little loud, seems to have a different reverb on it so seems in a different room and leans a little to the right.
In the BIG hook section...
"I cant live if living is without you.
cant breath if breath if breathing is without you.
cant wait for you to home.:
I can hear you rush the ending to get to the next line in time.
Have you considered recording alternate lines from the chorus (?) onto different tracks so that they can slightly overlap and take away the rush pressure?
Nevertheless - a GOOD'UN.
Many thanks Deryk.

Hi Kenny. You are spot on. I borrowed the lyrics but took the song in another direction.
Thanks for your comment. Rob
Great work on this Rob! I found this very much conveys a mood and the instruments work well at delivering the messages across. Thanks for sharing!
Another fine work Rob! Your mixes always sound great! Nice choice of instruments and very good vocal! Thanks, torrey

Hi Rob,

I like what floyd said and so quote him.

This presentation shines with the appeal of folk and country and really resonated with me. Terrific work.

I have to say you really are consistently good in all the songs you bring to the forum... writing, arranging and presenting!

All the best,
Noel

Thanks for listening and commenting Steve.
An excellent cross between country and folk. Excellent vocals and lyrics. The fiddle lead was a perfect touch!

Great job on this one!
Rob,

Hi Ray. Thanks for your great advice. Rob
The song had a very folksy feel and quite melodic throughout. Enjoyable from start to finish.
Maybe just another typical love lost song as you said...

But it certainly held our attention and did not seem to be shop worn at all.

As others have mentioned the fiddle solo works very well as, always, does your fine vocal.

Nice!

Really appreciate your encouraging comment Noel. Rob
Rob,

Nice inviting throwback tune. Like the vocal a lot—Roy Orbison on his lower register . . . very easy to listen to—I’d almost like the vocal to step forward a little bit. The fiddle for me jumps out a bit too strong . . . might suggest softening that but tad . . . but as always that’s a personal choice.

Really sweet tune . . . want to close my eyes and drift off. Well done!

All the best,

Deej
