Greetings fellow musicians!

Last year (2018), I wrote a piece entitled, "May I?" and I published it on this site. Since then, I have done a full re-mix and if you will indulge me, I'd like to share it with you again. I wrote the lyrics and music and aside from the main vocal, I played all the parts. Vocals by my terrific friend, Maggie Rose.

I used "Power Tracks Pro" 2018 almost exclusively except for the final fade out and usual normalization - for that I used "Sound Forge."

Cool song/lyrics/performance.
I think the vocal is sitting above the mix rather than in it.
Could be a matter of levels or reverb.
Really good song.

I noticed that too this time and I'm undecided if I want to change it.(??) A lot of Willie Nelson songs are the same way. I'll have to listen again and a while and maybe I'll do yet another re-mix. lol

Awesome vocal. Very cool song. Backtrack has cool rhythm to it.

Nicely done! Love the groove on it, and thought your vocals suited the backing track instrumentation perfectly. I'm picking up a strong 80's influence on it.

Don't know if you remixed it since Ray's comment, but your vocals sound right in the mix to me. LIstening to my JBL's everything sounds good. Vocals are supposed to be up front enough to hear and understand the lyrics. Yours work for me.
