Hi all,
Here's a french bolero.
Patrick Fournerat has written the lyrics and he sings.

RD SalsaBolero
RT 711 Acoustic Bass
RT 1903 Acoustic Guitar
RT 1904/1905 Piano
RT 1902 Solo Acoustic Guitar

Here's an approximate translation :

I hit the road,
unaware of what it costs,
distant countries
where the future is uncertain.
Bush land,
snow, sand mixed with wind.
Overcoming the fear
always going forward.

Walking on the paths,
a guitar in my hand.
Sleeping at the foot of a tree,
tired of palaver.

I hit the road,
preferring to stay on the margin.
No more chains,
I left quarantine.
The landscapes
that I cross make me wise.
No luggage,
but resourcefulness and courage.

Walking on the paths,
a guitar in my hand.
Sleeping at the foot of a tree,
tired of palaver.

Christian,
another cool Latin flavored tune. Production and vocals are crisp and professional!
I like this type of music very much.
Maybe try Putumayo label? They release many musical compositions that are inline with this. Most of their albums are compilations by various artists.

Thank you for sharing!

Misha.

Christian,
Very good lyrics which sound moody and so musical as sung by your vocalist. The bolero band sounds great.
Very well done!

Interesting chords, nice production, good lyrics (can't speak to the actual French, of course), well sung.

Can't get much better than that.

Merci à Patrick Fournerat et Christian: tres bonn.
I loved it... made me think of my high school French and how bad I was at it...
Marcher sur la route,
une glace à la main.
Assis dans le caniveau,
fatigué de demain.

Pat is where it's at for your natural language songs.

Robert said "moody and musical" and we think that is a great description.

The vocal well represented the fine lyric, melody and arrangement as did the mix.

We enjoyed it!

Hi Chris,

This is a wonderful listen!

You and Patrick have created a truly outstanding composition.

You've arranged the song and mixed its production really, really well. Everything sat extremely comfortable in my headphones.

Regards,
Noel

Thanks Janice, Bud and Noël.
I'm glad you find the mix good because mixing is not something I master very well. Christian

Nicely done! Really smooth, and the production on this is gorgeous. A clean mix with everything just right. Top notch vocals too, and I appreciated the English translation of the lyrics.

Great work and thanks for sharing smile
