TIRED OLE HIGHWAYS
AND WORN OUT DUSTY TRACKS
IVE WALKED THEM ALL JUST TRYING TO FIX
THIS SAD OBESESION
WITH LOVERS FROM MY PAST
CRADELLED IN A WOUNDED HEART
AND BLEEDING FROM STONES CAST

MOTEL ROOMS AND RUN DOWN HONKY BARS
CANT HIDE THE SHAME
THATS WRITTEN ON MY HEART
TAINTED MEMORIES
IN A WALLET BARE WITH LOVE
IVE LOST AND PLAYED THE GAME OF CHANCE
AND IVE HAD ENOUGH

MAYBE OUT THERE IS SOMEOME
AINT GOT TO MANY MAYBES LEFT
MAYBE ILL FIND THAT ONE
THROW OFF THESE CHANS OF REGRET

TOLD ALL MY DEMONS
FROM DRINK TO DRUGS TO CRIME
IM ALL OVER YOU
AND ITS ABOUT DAMN TIME
TO FIND AN ANGEL
WHO CAN LIFT ME TO SKYS
WHO CAN UNDERSTAND THIS TROUBLED MAN
AND THE HURT HE'S LEFT BEHIND

HARMONICA SOLO

MAYBE OUT THERE IS SOMEONE
AINT GOT TO MANY MAYBES LEFT
MAYBE ILL FIND THAT ONE
THROW OFF THESE CHAINS OF REGRET

COLD MOTEL ROOMS
AND WORN OUT CARPET BARE
ARE THE SOUND OF LONELY THAT I OFTEN HEAR
SCATTERED BOTTLES
AND WHISKEY ON MY CLOTHES
ARE THE KIND OF LIFE I CHOSE TO LVE
AND ALL IVE KNOWN

MAYBE OUT THERE IS SOMEONE
AINT GOT TO MANY MAYBES LEFT
MAYBE ILL FIND THAT ONE
THROW OFF THESE CHAINS OF REGRET
I JUST AINT GOT THERE YET

Hi Brad ...

I think this is my favorite of all your songs I've listened to. The simplicity of the backing tracks was just what this needed. Your vocal was spot on. That was a real sweet listen! I enjoyed my listen very much.

Very intimate, stripped back and allows the focus on the voice delivering the narrative.
Well done.

Wow - what pretty and perfectly simple song. Sometimes less really is more, and for me this is a shining example. It is gorgeous, and flows extremely well. You can really feel the emotion here.

You should be proud of this one - thanks for sharing smile

Brad,

I love this. One of your best as far as I am concerned. Great lyric, arrangement and vocal.

"AINT GOT TO MANY MAYBES LEFT"

Love that line.

One of those nothing left to add nothing left to take away mixes that we like.

Just what the nice write and vocal performance needed to "speak."

Well done!!

Brad,

A good write. Well sung.

The guitar sounds good (what is it? an RT?). The steel is nice (but there are a few notes that seem to cut off real fast (not a typical thing for a steel to do).

A good listen. It has "heart".

Nice work Biglad, I really enjoyed the overall tone of this. This sounds very full and I dig the overall timbres. Fantastic work on the vocals. Thanks for sharing!

Really nice tune!! Love the simple arrangement....pedal steel just cries! The vocal is sweet and heartfelt! I loved Crazy Heart myself (huge Jeff Bridges fan!). This captures the style of his character. Love the music and lyrics of this part:

MAYBE OUT THERE IS SOMEOME
AINT GOT TO MANY MAYBES LEFT
MAYBE ILL FIND THAT ONE
THROW OFF THESE CHANS OF REGRET

Beautiful!!!

Take care. Greg

A lovely plaintive song, nice set of lyrics, and an emotive vocal.
A very good write.

Brad,

Sweet opening—definitely can feel the connection to “Crazy Heart,” but this is unique and stands on its own. Nice straightforward backing, strong vocal, all nicely put together. I think I might want the vocal to come forward just a tad, at least in spots, but regardless this sounds great to me. Super job!

Kind regards,

Deej

The simple backing and heartfelt singing worked for me!

The vocal seemed a bit low to me - some of the words seemed hard to make out.

On the other hand, subdued vocal really fit the feel of the song.

A simple song which leaves room to convey the singer's emotional feelings...
Very nicely done!
