Listen to those deep, mellifluous vocals. Nice and simple, the way I like it. Good job, Jim!

Sounds like you really have felt her curves laugh Funny, like Swiss Toni for guitars. Nice deep country voice smile

Nicely done! I thought it flowed gorgeously, and your vocals are really attention grabbing on this one. I enjoyed the slow, passive groove on it too. It has a really nice pace to it.

Great work and thanks for sharing smile

Hi Jim,

Listened to your very sweet song and immediately fell in love with my two guitars, a 12-string and a 6-string.
Both blessed with those beautiful curves you sang about. It's because of Band in a Box that I have neglected them for a while.
So, you helped me loving them again.
But beside my adventure, I enjoyed your song and your call for cherishing the guitars.
At first I thought you sang too low, but quickly after that I began to really appreciate your nice brass voice. Didn't know you could reach that low register! Then I thought the song had ended. But you fooled me with that, because a while later you continued in a transposed way. You must do this more, Jim!

I had never heard of Swiss Toni...
But after viewing a couple of videos...
I can see your point of view.

Hi Jim.
You singing this, right?
Very intimate style tune, reminds me of Leonard Cohen music.
Cool approach in vocals / spoken word. A reminder to me, that tunes do not have to be over-complicated to be good.

Thank you for sharing!

Misha.

Jim - the intro vocal - wow - radio voice or what?
As Rustyspoon/Misha suggests - there's a lot of Laughin' Lenny in this vocal performance - particularly the title track from You Want It Darker.
Most folk don't appreciate that Cohen was a very funny fellow in many of his songs as well as his conversations.

Nice writing, Jim! And man, that vocal!

Good thing I listened to this on headphones so my guitars couldn't hear the lyric, wouldn't want them to give them any false expectations!

This is just brilliant. Had me grinning from ear to ear!!! Those vocals of yours ... in the basement of all registers, so to speak - loved it all!!! Hats off - 100% my kinda song :-)

Cool tune Jim! Love he low vocal tones...so reminiscent of some of the old Don Williams-Tom T Hall era songs! Now I know why my wife sometimes views the 10 plus guitars I have with disdain at times! Thanks, Torrey

Hi Jim,

why the singular? I love them all: My Gibson LP on mondays, my JB Strat on Tuesday, my MexStrat on... (to Maha, who's just entering the room): 'Just kiddin', love you every single day !!!!' (Maha left the room) ... Wednsdeays, my old Hopf Galaxy on Thursdays, my Ovation ... (t.b.c'ed).

Jim, I love the songs your coming up with - they're always a big surprise and a treat, too.

Take care,

Stefan

Well... I've definitely been going about songwriting the wrong way!

Great vocals on this, really clever lyrics and love the key change at the end. I hope at some point I can get my recording skills and presentation up to this kind of quality in the future.

Thanks for sharing!

Jim, as soon as this started I thought of Tom T. Hall! Was he the Tom you were talking to at the bar, maybe about old dogs, children and watermelon wine?

Seriously this is really good. Your vocal was strong (and low!), your mix was perfect, but your lyrics took it over the top for me!

Unfortunately I listened to this via my monitors and my three basses left town!
