This is a cool song. The melody from the oboe sounds very familiar. Very enjoyable listen

Nice song. I like when the background voices come in at around 1:12

Nicely done smile It flows beautifully well, and is really lush. I thought the mix sounded professional too. Thanks for sharing!

How long did it take you to produce?
If you don't mind me asking.

Hi Paolo. Welcome to the forum.

Well, since I first composed this in midi about 9 or 10 years ago and was familiar with most of the parts, it only took me about three hours. The original version had no percussion and I relied on a midi acoustic bass for the beat.
It was nice to have BIAB to provide all the background instruments this time (especially the accordion in last stanza).

Cheers,

Brian.

Nice work Ghostgum, fantastic choice of instrumentation on this. This sounds very full and the chord progression is very nice. Thanks for sharing!

Excellent job. I really love the addition of the oboe! And I'm always excited to hear more accordion.

smile <-- Accurately sums up my listening experience.

The melody, the voices and the mandolin somehow remind me of ABBA, or something European from the 70's. Still, enjoyable song giving me wings for flying (with the fairies) to relax on a sunny Mediterranean beach.

I guess you're feeling the waltz vibe lately! This is another pretty tune! Take care. Greg
