Thanks
I liked the use of the 12/8 time signature. It gave this a really good retro 60's feel.
Overall a very good production. Maybe a little long, but I noticed the fade starts at about 4:40, ends at 4:55 and then there is silence until 5:40?
Nice ballad! Has an early 60's vibe which is totally cool in my book.
Good writing and I like your vocal too. Also enjoyed your solo work during the outro.
Good song, enjoyed the listen!
The treatment of the bvox is perfect for the era/style.
The main vocal may be a little aggressive and a smidgen too loud.
The rim shot is a bit loud.
Have you considered mixing it in mono?
I reckon it'd sound perfect with everything up the middle and some reverb over the top to get a bit of a Spector vibe.
Cool song!
Nicely done
I'm definitely getting a 60's vibe from this one which is never a bad thing in my books. Really strong vocals, and everything flows perfectly. Nicely catchy, and a really concise and professional mix as well.
Thanks for sharing!
Great retro piece. Some real soul in your vocal delivering those lines. The band sounds great. I kinda agree with Ray...this might be a good one to deliver in mono just to give it that feel in spades. Nicely done and much enjoyed.
Very nice! I like the mix the way it is. To me, everything sounds in it's place. Well done!

Thanks for your comments.
beatmaster,
A very nice song. Good retro sound. I liked that you "kept it simple" - fitting for the era.
Nice vocals. I thought the chorus could have used some typical era background vocals - oohs and aahs, the do-[*****] thing...
Enjoyed.

Really enjoyable ballad with the 60's feel. You have made good work to make it sound so authentic. Great silky vocals. Good to know about this style, already inspires me to use it for a certain type of a song
Janne
Really enjoyed this, I haven't heard any attempts at this style of music on the User Showcase, it's very refreshing! It's so good it deserves some real doo-wap background vox. But still very good as is. Lead vocal was smoooth!
Really great use of the _POPPNOS style! Thanks for sharing.
Beatmaster,
sweet! Ritchie Valens comes to mind. Nice era revival tune. Liked 99% about it. The last 1% is related to "chorused" drum sticks. Rims? not sure, but they have sort of doubled effect. Maybe somebody who knows about drums more can explain this the right way
Enjoyed this a lot!
Thank you for sharing!

Beastmaster,
I’m liking this . . . very 50’s, early 60’s throwback . . . totally digging the back up vocals on this; they kill. Really nice job on the vocals overall. Some nice spacing and patience with tempo that really give this song a great, warm feel. Stellar!
All the best to (ah-ahh) you,
Deej
Nice harmony on the chorus. Good balance - I liked the panning of the instruments. A bit abrupt fade at the end.
An enjoyable listen!
Dave Thank you for your comments appreciated.
Great retro sounding track!! I always love that Ray Davies quality of your voice! This is excellent in all regards!! Take care. Greg
Hi beatmaster,
This is very reminiscent of The Platters and a number of other late-50s-early-60s groups. You've captured the period really, really well. The vocal harmonies nailed it! On top of this, your singing is as competent and as professional sounding as always and it is an excellent fit for the genre.
I really like what you've done here.
All the best,
Noel
Love the fade in! Well executed retro sound!
much enjoyed!
Rayc The main vocal may be a little aggressive and a smidgen too loud.
The rim shot is a bit loud.
I did listen on numerous devices when I mixed this song, the sound was sounding a nice balance on my Arcam system with or without headphones.
Listening direct through my line 6 interface it sounded the same as the arcam, car, Bose speaker, all good then I listened through my phone and a small Bluetooth speaker and that's when I thought the same as yourself, although I did settle on leaving well alone.
Just for my interest what do you listen through.
Again thanks for your comments as I do appreciate it.
P.S. Loved the idea of yours Mono ?.
Love this tune. Old style rock and roll. Super vocal. Very cool backtrack. Well done..
Hee Beatmaster, the 60's entered my head when listening to your song!
Nicely done. Especially that piano, the background 'ahha's'and your somewhat sharp nasal voice gave that feeling. Very good!
What times it were...
Nice day,
Hans
Very nice! I like the mix the way it is. To me, everything sounds in it's place. Well done!

Hello Beatmaster ...
Steve said much if what I was thinking. As the son g started, I immediately thought of Frankie Avalon. I can see Frankie singing this to Annette on the beach or at a sock hop (how many folks here remember them??!!).
Loved this retro sound ... you did it so convincingly. Best to you ...
Alan
Very pretty and easy to listen to song. A nice vocal and a really nice choice of instruments and melody.
Very well done.
Peter
Scott ,hans and alan thank you.
Your voice brought to Janice memory of an old Elvis Costello album.
Then I envisioned him transported back to the early 60's singing a slow dance song at a sock hop!
Your vocal is perfecto for this production -- cool BGV's also.
Great band...all that was needed.
The write and melody nail the feel for this period.
Lovely little guitar touch also.
Enjoyed it!
J&B
That is a retro song if I ever heard one. Sounded like the late 50's kind of thing. Sock hop, brill-cream, and soda pop..... nice work
Peter , Janice and Bud thank you
Guitarhacker thanks Retro is a big compliment to me .
Hey beatmaster,
very nice, in a positive sense old-fashioned sog. Like the Rhodes. Good singing, very clear mix. Just good and most enjoyable.
All the best,
Stefan
Song is easy to listen and get absorbed in a nostalgic vibe. Enjoyed the backing vocal treatment and your lead vocal was top notch.
Great song. Love that late 50s-early 60s sound. I can imagine me and my missus slow dancing to this one!
I really like this song...
A slow dancing "polish your belt buckle" tune!
Mark k thanks a bunch for your comments.
