I promise I have no intention whatsoever to flood the board with my "songs" ... it's just that today happened to be Sunday, my day off, so ... hope you enjoy and I will try to do something else other than writing songs this coming week :-)

The band is below, mixed in Audacity with my voice. Thanks for listening and for any feedback!!! :-)

LYRICS:

In a busy, crazy world
Where stories go untold,
Where people go unseen
Let us not be a "has been".

Let our love not be in vain
Let our joy live through the pain
Let our laughter ring out loud
Let our tears make no sound

As we silently embrace
As we kiss and, face to face,
Smile and know our love will last
Even if our time is past ...

Hold me
Though the pain may be too sharp
Touch me
Though the night may be too dark

Kiss me
Even if life fades away
Love me
Even if there's just today ...

***

In a busy crazy world (Hold me)
Where stories go untold
Where people go unseen (Touch me)
Let us not be a "has been"

As we silently embrace (Kiss me)
As we kiss and, face to face,
Smile and know our love will last (Love me)
Even as our time is past ...

***

I love you.

As I listen I'm imagining this as a scene from Broadway Musical.

I wondering what the rest of the story is.
I hope it has a good ending, I fear it may not.

Very nice.

Good melody, good narrative and an arrangement that REALLY suits the whole thing.

Hi M17,
Nice work. Sounds very continental with that melancholy melody.

Good job.

Nicely done - very mournful and melancholic. The vocals work perfectly with the instrumentation, and it makes for a really soothing listen.

Thanks for sharing smile

Lovely chord progression (I assume the use of sus chords makes it so interesting) and the selected band supports it very well, that mandola solo fits perfectly. Melody has nice musical vibe. Strong lyrics, I really enjoyed your interpretation.

Hi James,

This is beautiful. A really nice choice of instruments and your vocals sit really comfortable with them.

I love that first verse and the way the words and rhyme flows. That last line is killer material (I mean that as compliment). You really pulled me headlong into the song and I was there until the end. It was a satisfying journey.

Finishing the song by repeating that first verse brought the lyric journey to a really nice end.

It's two enthusiastic thumbs up from me!

All the best,
Noel

Hi James,

well written in all aspects: great lyrics, nice harmonic progressions, good choice of RealTracks, and presented with a lot of soul.

Very well done, James,

Cheers,

Stefan
