Here is the final mastered track.
Thanks to everyone who provided suggestions to help me improve the previous unmastered version which I posted a couple of days ago.

The original was basically 32 bars in length and repeated three times.
The revised version now has a different chord progression on the third repeat (at least for the first 16 bars), and I have replaced the flugelhorn with a few Brent Mason electric guitar licks (Realtrack # 2829).
The acoustic bass is also replaced with electric bass (Realtrack # 366) during the closing 32 bars.
I'm happy with the smooth transition from the flugelhorn melody to the Spanish guitar, and then to the Electric guitar at the end.
There have also been a few other minor cosmetic changes, including a slight change to the first three notes of the flugelhorn melody. This was to reduce the association with the Stevie Wonder song 'Superstar'(made famous by The Carpenters), as recommended by rayc.

Thanks again for all the helpful support and encouragement.

Nice! The changes are definitely for the better.

A note on the authorship of "Superstar":

There's a song by Stevie Wonder called "Another Star", but it doesn't really bear any resemblance to your theme.

Thank you David. I stand corrected. I should have realised that as I have the original vinyl single by Delaney & Bonnie. The 'A' side is 'Comin' Home', and the 'B' side is 'Groupie (SuperStar)'.

When you write "mastered" what does that actually mean for you?
Nice tweak by the way.

Thanks rayc.
I use Audacity to do my mixing, and then LANDR.COM to master any songs or instrumentals that I intend to offer as paid downloads. I also use LANDR to release tracks on Amazon, iTunes, Deezer, Tidal, Spotify, etc.
According to their website: "Our cloud-based solution provides an automated drag and drop mastering process for musicians and delivers a mastered track in minutes. Our engine achieves studio-quality sound that rivals expensive, professional studio work using a set of machine learning and audio signal processing algorithms".

I believe that there are also several other websites which also offer online mastering, but as I haven't tried any of those I cannot recommend one above another, but I'm always satisfied with the results I get with LANDR as it provides a significant and instant improvement in the sound quality of my final mixes. It certainly provides better results than what I could hope to achieve with my limited knowledge and equipment, and I'm sure that most listeners will agree that the sound quality of this finished track is superior to the earlier unfinished version.

Sublime!

Nice guitar performances indeed.

Very, very cinematic.

Good mix too...sounds really good on the KRK's.

Enjoyed it!

You've created an impressive final mastered track...
However...
I must admit I like the previous version a lot better...
I 'm listening to the 1st version again...
And it still sounds more refreshing to my ears
With all the luscious variations...

Nevertheless there are many on this forum, including you,
Who have better ears & more musical & recording knowledge than myself...
So perhaps the newer version is indeed better!

Thank you Jim. Obviously I prefer the revised version, but it doesn't really matter to me how much knowledge or expertise listeners may have, and I'm perfectly happy that you liked the first version better. In fact, I'm grateful to you for listening to them both. It means a lot to me.

Quite nice. I like both versions. This one sounds more polished and transitions more smoothly.

Yes I'm pleased with the smoother transitions and I also improved the Spanish guitar solo by re-recording a couple of phrases. I also increased the volume of the 12 string acoustic guitar in the final section which also now has electric bass instead of acoustic bass, and the ending has been improved.

I didn't hear the first version, but this version sure is mellow! Sounds really nice to me. Those Brent tracks sure were nice when they kicked in. Thanks for a really nice listen ... I enjoyed it a lot. Wishing you the best ...
