I just finished a new jazz tune inspired by jazz guitarist Kenny Burrell, called "Kenny's Blues". Ive had a gas exploring the jazz music realm for this piece.

Thank you Dzjang! Im glad you enjoyed it.

Im primarily a blues / rock guitarist so this style of jazz was a comfortable fit for me.

Great place to find inspiration, Tom, and an inspirational result. Kenny Burrell is a favorite.

Hi lasvideo,

this is something to lean back, close your eyes and listen quite concentratedly. Very impressive and an enormously pleasant listen!

Stay healthy,

Stefan

Very impressive! This is something I would expect to find on a good jazz album. I'm not familiar with Kenny Burrell, but I'm going to check him out. Meanwhile, I'm hearing some Dave Brubeck vibes in there, with some of those chord progressions, and the chord and rhythm patterns. Super easy listen all the way to the end - wanted it to go on forever, or at least to the next track if this was part of an album.

Thanks EdZ314! I appreciate your feedback. This was my first of hopefully many forays into the Jazz/blues style.

Hi Tom ...

i thought for sure I'd commented on this. Obviously not! That's what happens when you get old ... just turned 73. Yikes!

This is so well conceived and delivered. Excellent sound and flawless playing. I really enjoyed it! Congrats on a job well done!

Wishing you the best. Be safe ...

Hello Tom,

It felt as if the leadguitar was playing in a chair next to me, the double bass a bit behind and the piano in a corner of the room. So very close. That was a nice feeling. A rolled back my chair, closed my eyes and enjoyed listening to it all. A pity it ended...
So, to me you did a very good job!

Thanks,
Hans

This is a nicely understated swinging piece of smooth jazz. You've that late-night Kenny Burrell sound down pat.
Look forward to hearing more from you.
Cheers,
Mike
