Homebound
c. 2020 JJW

I sit and watch the raindrops fall, waiting for someone to call
Clock ticking, a haunting sound
Homebound

Every day is a Sunday, like a never ending play
Specters in a ghost town
Homebound

Come if you want to, don't feel you have to
There’s nothing here to do, you’re not around
Things have changed, I get it
Let’s start again, let’s face it
We can try just a little bit, don't stand your ground

There’s only so much of me I can take
Just me and this house and the heartache
Another morning, alone I wake
I’m homebound
Count the cracks on the ceiling,
The wallpaper is peeling
It’s emptiness that I’m feeling
Homebound

Wish there was more that I could say
Would it matter anyway?
If I begged you some, would that be OK?
I’m upside down
Please come home, I need you now
Just one more chance if you’d allow
Wouldn't it be nice if we both could be
Homebound

Nice tune JJ!! It has a nice chill, relaxed vibe! Nice playing! I like the stream of consciousness lyric! Well done!! Take care. Greg

The lead guitar in this is fantastic and fits in really well with the RealTracks. I loved the clever lyrics in this too, some great lines in it. Although I can't quite relate fully to all of them since I share my house with my 6 year old son, who doesn't give me any time at all to get sick of my own company!!!

Really enjoyed listening to this, thanks for sharing.

"everyday`s a Sunday"-that`s how I described my walks to my wife the other day!
I enjoyed the relaxed feel ( the electro flute fits that nicely) and your plaintive vocal.
The lead guitar is icing.
Well done.

I liked everything about this. Of course, I hear flutes like that and I think Strawberry Fields. But this had its own thing going on. Nice work!

I can't fully relate either! I'm home with the wife, adult daughter and two dogs. Lyrics are just a flight of fancy. Thanks for the listen.
