Verse a g d a

Bridges for tides

Verse 1:
Watching the coming and going
of the beaches and the bays.
The seesaw, the reciprocation,
the undulation of the mountains and pines.

Chorus:
Between the high and low tides
it only takes a few miles.
Between the high and low tides
it only can take a few miles, only few miles.

Bridge:
Emerge in your gravity, oh mercy.
Circles and cycles, oh I need bridges for tides.
Oh I need bridges for tides.

Verse 2:
Driving the railroad beneath the parade
of the blossoms by the sea,
the treetops, the blueberry fields and the hummingbirds sing
oft the season´s change.

We like the "connect your own dots" writes and this is a good one.

And we like waltzes - you made good use of it with the RT's (a lot of them!)

And really nice lead and harmony vocals.

You have a special niche with your sound...we think it would be good
to stay on that path...and post the journey here!

Rebecca,

The layers of harmonies are striking . . . lovely vocals. You have a lot of instruments working on this one . . . it’s always tough to tell what’s playing where, but musically pe serhaps a bit too much going on later in the song. I like how you build early, but once you get into the chorus all those instruments keep playing. Perhaps experiment with dialing back on the musical backing in spots—e.g., on the second verse—and let those killer vocals and harmonies carry the song for a bit. Keep the listener’s ears guessing.

All of that’s suggestion and subjective opinion. Lose or use, as they say. It’s an absolutely killer song as is.

My best to you,

Deej

Hi!

Great song & listen! And acoustic waltzes are such a treat. There's a certain ambiguity to the lyric and that always fascinates me ... nice! I think the only thing I would suggest ... and it's not a big deal ... is to bring the acoustic bass a little more forward in the mix. Not too much ... but a bit more. Just my opinion. Nonetheless, it's a really nice song with a good delivery. Good stuff, for sure!

Wishing you the best. Be safe ...

Hello Rebecca and Jochen,

Very nice Irish-like song, with good vocals (harsh and sweet at the same time)!
This production is also well done!

WOw. There's a lot of musicians in there, and they all seem to surround those glorious voices with just the right blanket. Great sound all around, Rebecca and Jochen.

Very nice song that came together well. I felt like it was a wall of sound, acoustic style. Nice. Probably the best I've heard from you so far, JMHO. Vox were very good per usual.

I like your distinctive vocal style and nice tight harmonies - the sound is fairly trad folk but the vocals have a modern feel.
The arrangement is well done, though I could hear one or two less layers on the chorus working as well.
Listening to the last verse it occurred to me that it sounded like setting the scene and if it were mine I`d be tempted to use it as v1. Just a thought.
Lovely song!
