Hello, forum friends

Sometimes I would like to remake my old vocaloid song to a real vocal version.
This time I reproduced one of them with female vocal.
Any comments encouraged.
Always welcome.

Best regards.

Shigeki Adachi

Summary of lyrics:

I say hello to you
Like the sky without an end
Wherever and whenever
I will fly to visit you

I have been thinking I could never see you again
But I noticed it would come true someday
If I kept wishing it strongly
I'll definitely reach you

Before I knew it, I gave it up
I was becoming timid
Now I can't wait to call your name
It is so nostalgic

I was thinking about everything I could not do
But now I only think what I can do
Dreams are not just dreams
How close is your town?

I say hello to you, hello again to you
Like the sky without an end
Yesterday is me and tomorrow is you
I want to be by your side from now on

I'll never leave you again
I kept thinking you strongly
Now the wish will finally come true
Your town is shining there

I posted the vocaloid version here on January, 2015.

Shigeki,

Pretty tune and lovely vocal. I don’t recall hearing a prior version, but can’t imagine it topping this. Really strong in all aspects—impressive music-making!

My very best to you,

I echo Floyd's sentiments!! She seemed a little stiff on the first few lines but really opened up after that.....beautiful!! Always, always love your melodies......so pretty and so interesting!!
GREAT STUFF!!! Take care Shigeki. Greg
Hi Shigeki,

Your production is outstanding in all aspects and, wow, does Yoko ever deliver a fine vocal!

Her vocal sounds very heartfelt and soulful ... qualities that always attract us.

And your orchestra is tremendous. We'll never understand how you put all those
tracks together but they are so well mixed and layout an impressive soundstage
on our monitors. The sax is exceptional.

Well done by both of you!

J&B
Wow, great melody and singer! Pro arrangement and production. This is some of the highest level work you'll find here on the Showcase. Congratulations!
Outstanding vocal from Yoko!

Beautiful melody.

Nice 70s sound--very breezy and free flowing sound.
Shigeki,

Yoko has a very nice vocal timbre. Well composed and mixed tune.
Thank you for sharing!

Misha.
At others said: outstanding.

If it wasn't for the more modern mix, you could easily convince me it came off an album.

But as much as I love saxophone, how about a flugelhorn lead instead? wink
Hi Shigeki ...

Adding touches of the "real" to BIAB makes everything even better.
The vocal does get a little loud/aggressive at the 41 second mark but it's not significant other than that it runs counter to the smooth, warm, friendly sounds of the track.
Ms. K is as fab as the music.
Smooth and professional - from the arrangement to the vocalist - top shelf.

I've listened to other tracks you produced - they're wonderful too.

Take care.

Scott
Shigeki,

Simply wonderful music; a sweetly subtle melody beautifully carried by your vocalist and noone arranges and produces a better band and orchestra with this software.
I hope you continue to rework your excellent catalog in this way.

Hello Shigeki Adachi,

I've been away from the forum for a while. When I saw two of your songs at the top of the list, I knew I just had to stop by and listen.

Oh wow!!!!

Jazzfunk sits so comfortably beneath your composer's pen. This is awesome listening. Such an engaging song. The arrangement is superb, Natsuki Yoshikawa's singing is incredible, and the mix shines with professionalism.

I sincerely admire your work so much!

I like listening to the little bit of English mixed in with Japanese. I spend a lot of time on Youtube listening to music from South Korean, Taiwan, Japan, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and China and it's a common feature of a lot of Asian music now to have phrases here and there in English. It certainly grabs my attention.

You are a gifted songwriter and arranger.

All the best,
Noel
Glad to hear from you again, Noel

Thank you very much for taking the time to listen and comment.
I am really glad you like this tune.
I much appreciate your compliments to the vocal and the arrangement.

Yes, J-Pop has phrases here and there in English.
All Japanese have been learning English since elementary school, so we love to use English phrases in the lyrics.
However, very few people can speak English properly even when we grow up.
I am always very encouraged by your kind words.

Sincerely,

Shigeki Adachi
