I COULDN'T SEE 2020 KEY Em
EVERYONE KNOWS IT, EVERYONE SEES
EVERYBODY KNOWS IT, BUT ME
THEY SAW IT COMING, THEY KNEW IT WOULD BE
EVERYBODY KNEW IT BUT ME
THEY ALL KNEW IT WHEN HE LOOKED AT YOU
THEY COULD SEE YOU WERE FALLING FOR HIS CHARMS
THEY ALL KNEW IT WHEN YOU SMILED AT HIM
EVEN THOUGH YOU WERE DANCING, IN MY ARMS....
BUT I COULDN'T SEE, UM HMMMM, I COULDN'T SEE.
GUITAR BREAK 8 BARS;
I THOUGHT WE WERE HAPPY, THOUGHT WE WERE COOL
I TOOK YOU FOR GRANTED, LIKE A FOOL
I NEVER THOUGHT LEAVING, WOULD BE ON YOUR MIND
I GUESS LOVE AIN'T THAT HARD TO FIND
TOO MANY TIMES I'VE LET YOUR DOWN
TOO MANY NIGHTS YOU WERE ALL ALONE
I WAS SPENDING MY NIGHTS OUT PAINTING THE TOWN
AND CAME HOME THIS MORNING TO FIND YOU GONE
CAUSE I COULDN'T SEE..... NO I COULDN'T SEE
CHANGE TO MAJOR/MINOR'
I COULDN'T SEE THAT YOU WERE HURTIN
I COUDLN'T SEE THAT YOU WERE SAD
I COULDN'T SEE THAT YOU WERE LONELY
BUT NOW YOU'RE WITH HIM AND YOU KNOW, IT'S DRIVING ME MAD........
BUT I COULDN'T SEE......NO I COULDN'T SEE UN UGHH I COULDN'T SEE, YOU KNOW THAT I COULDN'T SEE..................

Rob,
Nicely done. Good use of BIAB and good additional guitar.
A good Blues Rock style write.
Well sung.
The vocal is a bit hot (in my speakers) - there seems to be some clipping/distortion - and for the style, it could be slightly lower in volume to sit in the mix more (as I think a Blue Rock vocal should "sit down" more than a typical Country song).
Keep 'em coming.

A fun song to play with --excellent changes, Rob. They say love is blind, and you show the other side of it by being blind-sided. Good write. I agree with Floyd about the vocal distortion. You sing it so much much better than it sounds.
The vocal get s a bit hot/distorted at "THEY ALL KNEW IT WHEN HE LOOKED AT YOU"
Nice chuggy blues rock.
I like the organ part you added.
Thanks for the feedback everyone, I am re-recording the vocal track, I knew there was an issue with it but my hearing loss prevented me from identifying the problem. I will re-post the new mix after I get it corrected. Such a great forum with qualified people to learn from.
Thanks again
Rob
Hello toucher,
Pleasant arrangement to the ear that highlights your lyrics. I really liked the sound playing of your guitar. The mix gives a live atmosphere.
Well done.

Rob,
Good song, great guitar work. I really got into it in that middle section there with the solo, which was excellent. Very strong beat and rhythm really kept it moving along and the changes were right on.

I agree with all of that! I'm a sucker for a song about guys getting creamed......life experience? A little bit. Nicely done!! Take care. Greg
I like the song construction on this.
Some good guitar work to.
Thank you so much for all the feedback, I reworked the mix, and re-recorded the vox. Hopefully I got a better mix this time. I'm reposting the new mix, just as a thank you for all the great feedback and advice. Sounds better to me, Hope it does to you as well.

Hi Rob ...
When I clicked onto the link ... it said the page didn't exist. I'll try again later.

The supplied link didn't work, so I found it the hard way.
Good write - the opening lines pulled me into the song. I'm a sucker for blues.
I enjoyed listening!
Sorry guys, the link should be fixed now...........Thanks for letting me know.
Thanks for the listen David, your opinion is most valuable.

Is it possible to edit the one in the first post?
That one no longer works, and I think it's the one most people will try.

Hi Rob,
You made it a challenge to listen to your song. The link didn't work, but after some thinking I used the one in your signature and that worked well.
I read in several posts others encountered the same problem. You wrote it was fixed, but I'm afraid this is not the case.
But about the song: it has a nice rhythm, a good band and you sing well in it.
I only think you probably can sing it with more conviction and some variations. That keeps the attention well. And your song deserves that!
