"Say a Prayer"

https://soundcloud.com/user-619066495-714650428/say-a-prayer-vocals

Verse 1
Say a prayer
For the children
Going to bed tonight
With nothing to eat
And say a prayer
For the poor man
Sleeping out there
Tonight on the street

Refrain
If you know how it feels
To be hungry and scared
Could you just please
Please, say a prayer

Verse 2
Say a prayer
For the widow
Who meant it when she said
Till death do us part
And say a prayer
For the orphans
They hold a special place
In the Lord's heart
Say a prayer...Say a prayer

Chorus
And agree in prayer-Where two or more
Will be in the Lord's Name-Gathering
And may your words rise-Up into heaven
Up into heaven-On an angel's wings
Amen-Amen

Verse 3
Say a prayer
For those in bondage
There's hope in their spirit
To still break free
Say a prayer
For the sinner
That their eyes be opened
So they might see
Say a prayer...Say a prayer

Chorus
And agree in prayer-Where two or more
Will be in the Lord's Name-Gathering
May your words rise-Rise up into heaven
Rise up to heaven-On an angel's wings
Amen-Amen
Amen

Solo

Bawb,

Another good write.

And another very powerful vocal.

Good use of the BAND.
Those BIAB Gospel background tracks seem custom made for you!

Nice to see someone getting some use out of those clap loops...

Hi Floyd.
I was having a hard time making the hand claps work with the file since the tempo was different. There's probably an easy way to do it, but I seldom take the easy way... Ha...

So what I ended up doing was putting the loop into Real Band along with the Wav file of the BIAB song with just the drum track. Then I "cut" the track until it matched up with the drum track for 8 or so measures. It matched up pretty well after that.

Thanks again!

Excellent message! And after the prayer maybe folks will go out and help somebody!

You are so good with these praise and worship songs. Hopefully they are getting the attention of those seeking such music. The sync licensing libraries sometimes post opportunities for such music.

You have a good thing going.

All aspects of this production sound in the pocket to us.

Enjoyed it,

J&B

Excellent! Man, I can't say enough about your voice. Joe Cocker on steroids!

And I agree with what Bud said just above me. Your songs are a cut above most of the praise and worship songs I hear.

Great track!

Bawb - The Clap Loops should work without having to do anything to them - like other BIAB tracks...

I would guess that you did not set the Loop tempo correctly. It needs to be set to 90 - NOT to the tempo of your song - it designates what tempo the loop was recorded at.

There is an explanation of the settings in this thread:
https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=239513#Post239513

Your setting should look the same.

Love the message!
Well written, well performed.
Some real energy in your vocals, that makes the song.

Enjoyed my listen. I liked the regular rhythm marked off by the claps—great idea. I’ve found that creating a decent “clap” track is challenging, though it seems like it ought to be so simple—this came out perfectly. Quality track all the way around!

Say A Prayer - best hook I've heard on here in a while. And of course the vocal was growling great. Excellent work!

This really is wonderful. Really wonderful. And your voice - Bon Jovi like. Stunning lyrics, too. Bravo, bravo, bravo. Love what you communicate through your songs, and the way you do it - thank you so much for sharing.

Hello Bawb,

Your lyrics describe the poverty in our world well. Your voice revolted by this injustice gives all this cachet to your composition. We feel this injustice with which we are confronted every day. You merge your voice and your arrangement. You really make us live your feelings. Well done.

Kindly regard
