Reaching across the chasm..

GLORYLAND

------------------------------
"Gloryland"

I'm set to see you soon in Gloryland.
I'll bet you know I'm on my way;
Meet me at the golden door.
So when I climb that stair
You're there.

You led me to the road to Gloryland.
You said it would be hard--that's true;
Now I know I'm nearly home.
All of the dizzy twists and turns
Are gone.

You walked the final path
Right beside me;
I watched you make your way
so fearlessly;
Now I'm
About to climb--
I'm out of time.

They say it's always warm in Gloryland.
And never any pain at all.
Hope you'll take my hand my friend.
When I finally reach the end,
in Gloryland.

I agree with Greg. Excellent use of those strings and the flute!

Your arrangement is just perfect. The mix is spot on.

To nit pick I think you could use a little less vibrato on the flue during the ending; it sounds like it is going out of tune. But that is just me and others may not agree and it didn't change my opinion of the song.

Excellent song.

Sadly sweet. This is a wonderful song, TM! It says so much, and says it in a gently lifting way. It ends up being VERY uplifting, very promising, and can only bring a smile. Very well done!

Hello Tano Music,

Very soft melody, with a tone of voice that fits perfectly into your orchestration even if your voice seems a little too forward compared to the orchestra. I really liked the lyrics and everything is very pleasant to listen to. Well done.

Nice laid back piece - very easy on the ear, and melodic. Well arranged and sung.

Enjoyed the listen.

Very nice. Never heard anything quite like that.

Tano,

First off, lover the Soundcloud album cover! Second, nice throwback sound to this tune—real thirties or forties feel. Crooner material for sure. Some really cool melodic changes throughout. The vocal sits pretty nice in the mix for me—and, yeah, that flute Midi worked quite well. Good work on this!

Best regards,

Deej

Hi Tano ...

I fully agree with all that's been said. Beautiful music, arrangement and your vocal is really nice. I do agree it might be a bit forward in the mix. Nonetheless, this is a terrific song ... in construction, arrangement, and delivery.

Truly a lovely listen. Wishing you the very best. Take care and be safe ...

Sad indeed and well done. We always enjoy your bossas.

This reminded us of the credits rolling after a sad 60's movie.

Your vocal is very, very emotive and that nails the whole vibe.

Excellent band too,

Be safe.

Great jazzy retro vibe.
Instrument selection all works well.
Lyrics fir well.

About the vocal, it might be a bit forward but, to me, it could use some a cut in the low end. Maybe just slap on a high-pass filter around 100 k.

Tano,
WOW! Super arrangement! I am a big Bossa fan and this was a treat. Very nice style fusion. Flute works very nicely. Did I hear pizzicato strings, or my ears are tricking me? Cool lyrics and delivery. Thank you for sharing.

misha, you are so tuned in! Yes, some pizzo strings right at the end there. The flute was a sampled phrase that I picked out of a library of flute riffs. Thanks for listening and your feedback!
