Hi all,

France has been attacked again very violently those past couple of weeks by fanatics who killed French citizen on behalf of their religion.

I have composed that short tune as a tribute to one of the victim, a French teacher.

I play the guitar (using THU full).

I used BIAB, soloist option in BIAB to create a trumpet solo (reference : 1065 trumpet soloist smooth jazz balad ). I auditionned many trumpet solos and created this solo out of many parts from a few of the ones auditionned.

Mixed in Reaper + Ozone 9.

Here is the tune. Hope you will like it.

Beautiful tribute.
How sad it is that we must have so many.
Angelomusic,

Very moving tribute—the music is really well done and the images that accompany the mix truly resonate. Beautifully done!

All my best,

Deej
Hi Angelo,
Just a guitar and a trumpet.
No need for anything else to share a lot of emotion.
Musical regards from France.
Christian
Angelo..you captured the lonely sadness and sense of inner reflection beautifully. Excellent work being patient while you sift through the available riffs to patch together phrases that compliment your ideas. I also liked the sound effects in the background--added much to the listening environment. Thanks for your work!
Good God, Man. I pushed play, and right from the introduction I sat back in my chair with my hand on my chest --didn't even realize it until the song was finished because I had to push Pause to keep Sam's face on the screen. Thanks you.
A beautiful piece.
Touching mood, lovely melody, very nice use of the trumpet.
Sound effects, reverb and the colors in the video, all add so much to the story.
Beautiful work of art.

Very emotional and touching tribute. The song and video are so very well done. So much hate in the world and intolerance. This one pulls on the heartstrings....
Hello Angelomusic,

Nice tribute for a person who wanted to enlighten young people about tolerance. Very sober and intimate composition. The guitar finds all its brilliance by its resonance and the trumpet reinforces this tribute that you have done very well. Well done.

Kindly regard

Thank you Deej! I think it took me at least as much time to create the clip than it took me to compose the tune. I really wanted to have the "Light after Darkness" shown in both musical and filmic way. Thanks for your message!

Thank you very much Tano for your nice words. Oh man, it took indeed some long time to go through all the solos and create one from all of them. But it was fun!

Thank you very much Janne. I had a lot of fun to create the clip and tried to have it transpire the spirit of the tune. Thanks again!

Thank you very much Jack for your nice words. I'm so happy this tune could touch you. And yes, we have to fight against intolerance so that it stops spreading.

Stunning.

A wonderful tribute.

Your performance, the BiaB band, and your work comping up that
trumpet track is outstanding.

Really enjoyed it and the vid!
