Thy Will Be Done - 11/13/20 12:43 PM

A new one from me ... hope you enjoy! Thanks, as always, for taking the time to listen and for any comments!!! :-)

Thy Will Be Done.

Over land and over sea
Thy Will Be Done.

In the depths of all our beings,
Thy Kingdom come.

For untold eternity,
On Earth, as it is in Heaven,

May Your Name hallowed be ...
Thy Will Be Done.

For no matter how unwieldly be our troubles in this world
Thou, who art in Heaven,
Have the power to bring joy and inner peace to our souls,
Thy Kingdom come.

And no matter how we stumble when upon the path we walk
Let us not fall
In temptation when the sun is ever setting and the world becomes so dark,
But save our soul.

Our bread, the one we need to fill with our souls, every day,
Give us today,
And please teach us how to forgive those who've trespassed against us,
This is my prayer.

Our Father, Thou whose Kingdom is the one for which we pray,
In the Name of Your Son,
Please watch over your Creation as we lift our voice and say:
Thy Will Be Done.

Thy Kingdom come ... on Earth as in Heaven ... Thy Will - Be - Done.

Hi James,

I liked the song and loved the message.

To nitpick I thing that your vocal could be a tad louder. My old ears had a hard time hearing the vocal in spots.

Thanks Mario! Yeah, some of it (particularly when there were a lot of words to be said in a short space of time) may have been a tad quiet indeed ... I had a hard time mixing this one and eventually I just said: forget it, it goes public "as is", haha. I'll get back to it :-) Thanks for listening! :-)

The opening notes drew me right in. Good groove.

I like what you did lyrically with the Lord's Prayer. Love it. Whenever I try to write a Christian song, I am always dissatisfied with my lyrics, so my songs have been staying secular.

Very cool backtrack. It is amazing how cool the spoken word vocals fit so well the backtracks you have been doing. I am a fan. Well done

Somehow this worked for me despite disparate elements. Nice job!

Very cool, James. I read the lyrics before I pushed Play. Interesting choice of gospel shuffle. Really like your choice of bandmates. Very well done.

I like the arrangement and the band on this.
The spoke lyrics are a good fit but, .......
To my ear the vocal is a bit boomy.
Id suggest cutting a little low end there to make it sit better with the rest of the mix.

Nice song!

We like shuffle/swing grooves and we enjoy gospel music.

So for us a great combination!
