Hi, James.

I can hear some of your signature chords, along with a 5, #5 sort of thing going on.

But without a melody, the song relies on the chord progression. There are a number of places where the chords change, but it doesn't feel like they're progressing - I'm not getting a strong feeling of moving forward.

But still, a pleasant listen. And now, it's literally time for my evening walk.

Thanks for posting! smile

James,

A nice listen. As David said - this has your "signature sound".

David - you've got a fabulous ear. You've pinpointed the problems that this song has, that I've also just identified on a new listen, 24 hours after posting. Moral of the story: let the song sit and don't post until absolutely sure it's ready!

Floyd: thanks for listening and for a very kind comment!

I love how helpful this community is and love the feedback people are giving one another. It warms the heart to see!

This song really does reflect an evening walk - and I think the cover you used for the song as well is a good fit, as it does have an "early evening" feel of walking through the forest during the twilight hour where the sun comes in perfectly golden as it's setting. The feeling is well captured here!

Thanks for taking the time to share!

We live in a forest...one that Janice says is enchanted.

This songs takes us both to our hikes around the homestead
when the sun is low on the horizon.

Nice....

Thank you so much Ember, Janice and Bud! I will work more on this song, for sure, but one thing's certain, as Ember states so well: the feeling of community and mutual help on this forum is second to none, without a shadow of a doubt. Thank you so much, PG Music as well as everyone on here. Now, back to the drawing board ... :-) ... but, again, thank you for listening and for your comments!
