This is a song that I wrote for my wife yesterday, and the reason being, last Saturday afternoon, I was at work and started having severe chest pains, and the supervisor called an ambulance. The paramedic said that the ekg read abnormal so they ran lights and siren all the way to the hospital about 25 miles away. They ran a marathon of tests on me and kept me for observation. Sunday they were getting ready to discharge me, and all of a sudden I got real hot, and told the nurse I felt like I was going to pass out, and I did, right into cardiac arrest. She called Code Blue and started CPR, and after a few minutes, I came back. She said she couldn't understand how I came to so quickly, but I do, my wife was steadily praying, and God heard her prayers.

Yow! That's a heck of a story!

I'm glad you're still with us. Given that they apparently didn't find anything actionable after the tests and you still had another episode, hopefully they'll keep looking until they find something.

One thing that always strikes me about your songs is how solidly the harmonic and melodic construction is. Love that Db chord! I liked it so much, I grabbed a copy of the audio with Audacity and using deCoda just to figure out what you were doing there.

Nice arrangement, honest and heartfelt lyrics and vocals.

Aww. I must have been chopping a lot of onions of late. Such a beautiful, sensitive song - perfect. Your voice communicates simply but clearly and emotionally a superb write. The bridge is understated and beautiful. The melody just flows. The way you sing it - few, few people can carry a song like this like that.

Praying for you - hopefully, this is the last of your current brushes with bad health. Enough such drama :-) - hope you'll get back to writing and singing songs like this one. Thank you so much for sharing this one.

"My feelings I can’t hide..." Well, sir, there's no doubt in my mind (and heart) that, indeed, you couldn't hide your feelings for your dear wife even if you tried. I was totally, completely absorbed in the emotion you released from your soul in this recording. It's a poignant listening experience, especially considering the medical crisis you so narrowly avoided. What a testimonial to the power of true love, and faith, too! As many forum members have often said about other songs they've listened to here on the User's Forum, "This one's a keeper." I think this 'true-blue' song deserves a much larger audience, and I hope you get it.
