Here is the new lyric video for my song I'm Missing Me. It is a classic country tearjerker - very sad song for those who've lost loved ones to know they're not alone. Thank you very much for watching!
Clever lyrics and classic country instrumentation and chord progressions. You did great vocals and harmonies. The piano fit the melody really well I thought.
As Charlie described it. Classic country. The intro and when the vocal comes in seems slightly odd...as if the intro was too short. That's just my perception though.
Josie, your vocal on this is wonderful! It's a great country song and I couldn't hear a single thing I would want to change! The harmonies are sweet also! You did such a super job with every aspect of the song! It's professional through and through! My best wishes for you to get some attention for this one! Take care, Torrey.
A good write - that reflects early 80's Country in all of its aspects - the lyric and subject matter, the melody, arrangement...
Nice vocals. A good mix.
(The piano notes seem to be "cut short"...they don't "ring" the way one would expect, like there is no "space" in the room. No reverb? maybe? MIDI? Mostly noticeable in the opening. The overall production is very nice).
I listened a couple of times to your beautiful song. At first just to let it come to me as it is. Beautiful! Secondly, when I read some posts I listened to your song again. Conclusion? Still a beautiful song! The lyrics are very sensitive and very well written and 'from the heart'. In Dutch we have the same word for Tearjerker; Tranentrekker, but don't try to pronounce that. And your song is, but a beautiful one! I also liked the piano very much, as well as your sob (you call it like this?) halfway. And i won't forget the vocal harmonies, well done! So, for me you have made a beautiful song.
WOW Josie this is outstanding and possibly your best to date. Loved the backing tracks and your vocal but those lyrics took it over the top for me. This is definitely a song that Tammy Wynette would sing.
This is radio ready right now and the kind of country I wish the stations up here would play.

Enjoyed this a lot.
Charlie
Thank you Charlie! I appreciate it. Looking forward to our collab.

If anything was ever gonna make my day that was it Torrey! Thank you.

Hans, thank you for such kind words. I'm so glad you liked it.

Mario thank you so much. I don't know what they're playing on Country anymore we tried to listen after the hurricane when the power was out on battery powered radio and I heard one song I actually liked. It was surreal.

Simply beautiful, Josie! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much my sweet Donny. I hope you are doing okay. God bless you.
A truly lovely song!!! A very nice write, and the melody rolls along in a perfect way to carry the story! Vocals are great, particularly the harmonies in the chorus!! TOP NOTCH!!! Take care. Greg
A beautiful song with excellent instrumentation and a super mix.
What really makes it special though is your vocal performance - pretty much the best I've ever heard you sing. Great use of dynamics, full of control and absolutely drenched in emotion. Fabulous.
It is a very-well written song, that I enjoyed listening to, but being one of those who have lost dear family members during this pandemic, I am not sure how appropriate I find it (in my case and situation) to express it like I am missing me? It is probably my lack of understanding of English that makes me in unease with the lyrics... still a great track!
nice production and i like the variety of the arrange. and the harmony vocs . best to you. om
Thank you very much OM! And while I'm thinking of it, thank you also for all your helpfulness on the other boards around here too.

Thanks for sharing! Will
Thank you Will. Sadly I think we have a language barrier. I could have said I love and miss you so much that I don't feel like myself without you in my life. I just said the same thing in a different way. Josie
Your performance is super. I love the band that you've assembled and your mix is perfect for my headphones.
What really stood out to me was your writing. It is exquisite. These lyrics are so easy to identify with, and right now I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes. Your words and your musical arrangement have unpacked a ton of memories for me. I really appreciate that you've brought so many of my lost family and friends back into my mind.

This is definitely a song to be proud of.
All the very best, Noel
Noel so nice to see you! Thank you very much. I hope you are doing well. Josie
Thank you TuneMonger. My sister, who mostly raised me after my mother died when I was 8, left this world a few days ago. Right now my eyes are still red and that lump still gets in my throat and this song will be true for me yet again.
