Hi All,

Here's something called Greyhound.

I remembered to dream tonight
I remembered tonight
I could see your shadowed smile
In a single stream of light
You run through my mind like a silver blue greyhound

I remembered the silver light
I remembered the light
I could see the moon fade out
In a passage from the night
You run through my mind like a silver blue greyhound

I remembered to wake tonight
I remembered tonight
I could see the room grow dim
In a broken ray of light
You run through my mind like a silver blue greyhound

You run through my mind like a silver blue greyhound
Silver blue, Silver blue, Silver blue
Silver blue, Silver blue, Silver blue

Bob,

Nice. A good write. Simple and effective.

Excellent production/arrangement. Excellent mix. You do a great job of using BIAB for a truly "signature sound". A studio-quality singer-songwriter sound... Excellent vocal.

Enjoyed several listens.

(only seen a couple of Greyhounds in the past decade! They used to be everywhere...)

Hello Robert,

I recognize your style right away. The moment I hear the vocals I say "Ah, Bob Dean"!
A very nice song that I enjoyed a lot. It is what Floyd wrote: 'simple and effective'.
But effective in many ways. compact lyrics, a straight melody and with the nice use of that Pedal Steel!

As I said, I enjoyed it a lot.

Excellent mix made even better with such a quality vocal performance. Good write, Bob. You make everything seem so easy.

Bob, this is such a great job making those Realtracks your own and "fitting" the song so well! Love the mix and the way the vocal is the primary focus of the song (as it should be). Another very good one from you! Thanks, Torrey

"I could see your shadowed smile
In a single stream of light"

Nice!

Great job on the arrangement! I love how it builds. Mix is just top notch too, sounds fabulous through the 'phones.

And of course that signature vocal sound you have smile

Really good, Bob, listened a few times.

Bob, I loved how this started and the simplicity in the backing tracks that you have blended into one outstanding piece of music. Great vocal and lyrics also.

This is your best to date IMHO.

Awesome tune Bob. Super vocal and lyric. Really like your production on this. Super mix. Love how you have the steel and acoustic panned. Cool wide feel. Well done

In our garage hangs a Greyhound metal logo from an old bus....

Your tune reminded us a bit of Ryan Bingham -- a fine singer/songwriter.

"I remembered to dream tonight
I remembered tonight
I could see your shadowed smile
In a single stream of light
You run through my mind like a silver blue greyhound"

Man, do we ever like that imagery. "In a single stream of light." So easy to envision.

You are a master of the open mix...something we strive for.

The vocals and the band choice so well deliver that great lyric.

Another great addition to a great catalog!

Bob,
A lovely rocking lilt to this; romantic lyrics given added depth by the edge in your voice.
You have such a great signature sound; this is irresistibly good!

Excellent lyrical hook. I can identify with these lyrics.

Nice melody.

Love how the song starts of holding back - excellent build. Subtle harmonies, the simple guitar riff is super-effective.

I remembered to dream tonight
I remembered tonight

This is a great opening line. Excellent write in general.

Catchy and haunting.

Very hypnotic and dreamlike. The steel guitar adds some dreamy interest to the ever-flowing chord loop. Vocals are effective and well-produced...intimate. All in all a very lovely piece of work.
