This reminds me of Laugh'n Lenny in a rye mood.
Not the key, tempo or delivery but the use of Hebrew and Proto Christian stories in songs to tease out ideas about the personal.

Jubal's renown as a flautist, (probably pan piper), wouldn't translate so well...

I feel like the myth about the satyr Marsyas challenging Apollo to a musical contest would also be a really great source of inspiration for a song. Interesting inspiration has lead to a catchy song with simple sing-a-long lyrics. I enjoyed the vocals. Great lush arrangement, really like those string instruments and the transition s from the folk start to them and then back to folk.
