WOW this is fantastic! Your vocal is spot on, as is your mix, but the lyrics are the icing on the cake.

loved it!

PS - I turned my six pack into a keg years ago! I also lift weights, one pint at a time!
Hi Dewey,

Great song - loved the rhythm, vocals, harmonies and lyrics.

Well Done.

Best Regards
Nigel
LOL! Thanks Mario and thanks for sharing your history!
Dewey,
I applaud your song writing and performance.
This one is amusing - you've selected a good BIAB band n arrangement.
There're parts, like the fiddle, that aren't listed anywhere.
This one says One To Watch 2021 and the Soundcloud post says 2020.
Personally I'd prefer not to read that sort of spiel/blurb, particularly when there're errors.
Nevertheless, fun song.
rayc: Thanks for listening. I wasn't overly impressed with the dobro and fiddle parts but I felt it was better than not including any background at all. I created multi-riffs for each instrument, imported into my DAW, and started picking and choosing. If you're really interested in the fiddle used then JLMK and I'll dig it out (it's on my studio computer).

Thanks for catching my typo for the year. I have corrected it on my SoundCloud link.

Although you may not enjoy hearing about my successes (the "One to Watch" kudos) - I've had years of rejection from publishers and harsh critiques from song evaluators and artists; however, the ones that gave me constructive criticism helped me grow as a lyricist and melodist. I've also benefited from great co-writes with talented folks. I've studied, read, and honed my skills to get to this point and even if an artist never cuts one of my songs, I will always continue to try and grow as a writer. Therefore, I will continue to proudly celebrate my accomplishments with the Nashville Songwriters Association and any other kudos I may get. I've earned them.

That being said, I am ALWAYS willing to take advice and constructive criticism for any song that I post here. Being that this is BIAB, I am more likely to seek out production, mix, and instrumentation critiques than lyrics but any and all critiques are welcomed!

Have a blessed day everyone!
yea defo spot on vocals and has been said lyrics, this sounds so polished and excellent mix .

Well done enjoyed a lot .

Ray.....Personally I'd prefer not to read that sort of spiel/blurb, particularly when there're errors.
Nevertheless, fun song.

Personally I don't think that's an appropriate comment !!.

Oh well it is Biab !!.
Previous posts say it all.
Loved it. Well done sir.

Dewey,

Really catchy opening—very modern country. Great lyrics and a good hook. From a production standpoint, and it’s a subjective thing, I would’ve liked the BG vocals to sing a bit more in the chorus, just to make it pop a bit more. But really stellar as is. Excellent mix—cool country tune!

All my best,

Deej

Thanks for listening, but more importantly, thanks for the feedback! I'm always looking to improve. Will definitely mess with the bg vox.

Dewey
