For my whole adult life, I wanted to see the movie "Days of Heaven." It's supposedly one of the best movies ever made, especially the cinematography. I finally saw it, and wrote a song about it.

According to wikipedia "Days of Heaven" has become a cult classic. That's interesting because this song could well go down that same path. I am enjoying this song more after repeated listens.
Another weird time warp thing is I could imagine Bert Sommer r.i.p.(the forgottan man of woodstock) singing this.

Hi, TuneMonger. What a wonderful song of hope --despite the brooding. Excellent melody and very well sung --convincingly. Very important message to smile through the misery. The singer's life may have been a struggle, but he still has the heart to share his woes and point out the possibility of a better life for those who follow. Excellent!

This definately has some Crosby Stills and Nash overtones to it that can't be denied! Excellent lyrics and good choice of music/band. Also the guy from fiverr, definitely worth the money!

Touching and strong lyrics, sad story with bitterness turned into acceptance ("I can smile through my misery").
The chording, the melody and the slow forward movement support nicely that mood.
Very enjoyable singer, pleasant and interesting voice.
Balanced selection of instruments.
Surely this song is much better than the movie on my list
