I wrote this song Buttercup Joe with the aim of being an English folk song, with the help of BIAB it went in another direction so now it's more of an upbeat country style.
I recorded and played all guitars with my Strat and Mesa/Boogie and sang the vocals.

Brian...loved the guitar work you did on this one...the story is great...and the train beat is perfect and moves the melody so well...a delightful experience...thanks for posting...Dan

This is cool BUT the offer of an English folk song really grabbed my attention and I'd LOVE to hear that version - just vocal and hurdy gurdy perhaps.
Your playing is terrific and makes me wish this wasn't quite so country and perhaps a little more English.
