It is a very fine and really traditional chanson.
Perhaps these songs can only be expressed in French.
Reminiscent of songs such as Marcel Mouloudji, Boris Vian and Pierre Barouh.
I've been a big fan of French Chansons since I was a teenager, so I was really impressed when I listened to this song.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.
