New song from 2021. This song was an experiment blending two amplifiers. I picked up a new pedal with a ground lift and it kill the 60 cycle hum I got plugging in two amps at the same time. The pedal was a Radial Twin City hence the name of the song.

Hi Scott,

I enjoyed this song - the melody and guitar phrasing are excellent and nice backing instrumentation.

Mix: I think the lead guitar is the right volume but could possibly do with a bit more reverb to "sit it down" in the mix.

Best Regards
Nigel

Nice song.
Guitars sound good!

That image of the Gibby 335 brings back memories.
As a youngster, I saved my $ to buy my first "good guitar" a 1963 cherry red 335.
Same stupid teenager, sold it to buy a car.
Silly me.

Anyways, nice production.

Scott...very clean and cool...this piece would make a great soundtrack for a laid back scene in a movie set in the south-west...spacious and mysterious...really enjoyed.

The slide parts really describe the space with the double amp sitting nicely in the centre.
Another subtle and pretty piece.

Great tone and melody as per usual, and nice hearing the slide in there.

I always enjoy listening to your instrumentals, Scott, nicely done!

Scott,

Great tone! Loved the progression and mix as well.

Scott,

Your guitar tone on this seems to really "hit the sweet spot" to define the Scott Collingwood sound! Cool.

Nice backing that allows your guitar to shine.

Very much enjoyed the listen. One of your best.

Scott,
very pleasant tune. Cool melody line and tone. Easy listen! I do think that lead guitar is a bit too upfront, but that might be just me. Thank you for sharing.

Misha.

Nice. You found such rich tones on your guitar. The steady beat from the band is right on time too. Great mix. Top notch playing for sure.

Nice tone and melody, Scott, showcasing your instantly recognisable playing style. A very pleasant listen.

Thanks Moto. I got the 335 on a trade for a PRS. Did not bond with the PRS. This one plays great and has a nice warm tone. Glad you liked the song

Two days ago I was talking with someone about your playing, Scott, and 3 words came to mind. Tone, timing and taste. This tune is such a great example of that. Man, you really know how to inspire mood in your listeners, and I'm happy to be one. Thanks for the inspiration.

Nice chord progression, very melodic playing, and gorgeous tones on both the ES335 and the strat. Really fun chords and groove to play too. The chord with the most color, the B, can throw all sorts of stuff over that one.

SWEET! Very tasty guitar chops Scott. The backing tracks allow your playing to really shine. You are a fantastic guitarist.

Loved it!

Your guitar on this sounds even more like your signature sound than usual.

Very pretty, nicely played and arranged.

A good one.

Thanks Leon. Glad you liked the song. Thanks for the comments on the guitar sound. Have been doing lots of experimenting on the live side as well as the recording process. Lots to learn

Scott, it's already been alluded to but we feel that your composition is very cinematic. It's easy to picture a lovely film landscape as it plays.

The chops and tone are, as always, very unique to you. And that is always a good thing.

Thanks for the backstory on how you put it together. The band and mix are great. And, of course, Janice being an occasional cajon player caused us to notice the percussion.

Well done!

Hi Scott,

What a sensitive, sweet, and sad song you made!
A very nice solo and structure of the song.
It's a very nice one to let it play on and on while you read a book, try to sleep or do nothing but sipping on your rum.
Like it very much,

Hans

Hi Scott,

This one got past me and I'm glad it popped up. Man, I'd really love to be able to play like you. I love the melody and the way you arranged all of the different instruments. Great listen, thanks for posting!

Very beautiful playing, the melody is very strong and full of melancholy. At some point I was expecting to hear some Mark Knopfler type of singing. The instrumentation is excellent, the tin whistle gives nice Celtic feeling and the bass has pleasant sound. Twin City reminds me of my visit to Minneapolis/Saint Paul.

This was very good. Excellent tone(s), great chord progression, relaxing while haunting. The tone was unique to you, but I almost got some Carlos Santana-esque Dorian vibes there near the end.
