This song is a joint project with my friend Halya from Ukraine.
The song is about the sad everyday life of most people.
And about the fact that everyone wishes for happiness but does not realize it.
Because happiness is not something you can own.
You have to recognize it and feel it.

Only the vocals have been additionally recorded.
The english is definitely not the best,
but it is much easier to write a usable song in english than in german ;-)

I really enjoyed the snappy 90s "Roxette" feel and the liquid-y, accented (to an American) vocals. I did find the chorus less satisfying, reaching out in a different direction with less success.

But everything comes together with "let's go!" =8^)

Starting off a song with such a rockin' beat made it absolutely irresistible to my ears . Also, I like the way the lyrics struck a balance between the optimistic expectation of being happy with the more realistic consideration of how we could achieve that desirable state of existence.

Your vocal performance was energetic and affirming.

The entire production is excellent.

Great write, vocal performance, arrangement and mix.

Outstanding use of RTs and RD.

We are big fans of open/airy mixes with lots of dynamics and this is a great example. Every track has its place on the soundstage.

I think it is really nice that you can understand the meaning of the text so well
I don't have anyone to check my texts
i write them with a dictionary and have them checked with the online translator ;-)
but I can imagine that you as a native speaker will find some passages unfamiliar
maybe sometimes the meaning of the text is completely lost
but i have to say that i can't write song lyrics in my german native language at all....
so I prefer to stay with this method

Well, actually Happiness should go more in the direction of Hard Rock
But when I searched for the right style in BiaB it went more into the pop direction.
Hard Rock is not the real strength of BiaB.
I try it also again and again but one is very often disappointed.
Maybe PG Music can improve the hard rock quality.

I like the double voice effect very much
I usually sing louder on the choruses, it gives me more stability on the higher notes since I'm not a good singer unfortunately.

Since I actually always work with RT's, I don't have unlimited possibilities after all
So I just let myself be surprised by BiaB
Most of the songs I write with Biab I would definitely have played differently with my own band.
But that doesn't mean that the songs with BiaB are worse because of that.
I even think they are often more interesting ;-)

I thought i replied to your songs, but then noticed I haven't seen this one. That could have been a shame, because it's a solid, rousing song that I would have missed then!
Very strong lyrics. Nice to know you made it with that Ukraine guy. They challenge some big problems now...

One little thing: I think this song could have used a background group instead of vocal doubles. I missed them in the lines

maybe you feel the same
it’s up to you" ... where they could have shouted it out here (and some other parts in the lyrics).

But I shouldn't meddle with good songs, so it's up to you. And mind the sibilance!
