Music, Lyrics, Mixing and Mastering - Nigel Spiers
This has a nice arrangement, narrative and melody Nigel.
The bass is cool - origins of reggae note choice wise.
The vocal doesn't work for me though...sounds a little like a pastiche verging on parody.
Hello Nigel,
A strong intro!
A good soulfull Blues!
Nice organ!
And wonderfull vocals!
But skip the girl out of your head, she made you mad ;-)
Hans
Hi Hans,
Thanks for your comments and glad you liked the song.
Best Regards
Nigel
Good, solid blues tune. The vocal reminded me of Rick Estrin and the Nightcats, which is good company. Fine work all the way around.
A cool tune!! Everything in the whole production is well done.....sounds pro to me!! Nice work!! Take care. Greg
Very cool tune. Loved the B3. Super vocal. Excellent mix. Drums were set perfect.
Sounds great to me, Nigel.
Great sound on all the instruments; love the sound you are getting on the B3 realtrack, did you add processing to that? Good vocal too.
Good song, wish I had written it
Hello Nigel
Really good song
Since you have BiaB great exploited
The singing is absolutely great
just like the organ
Many greetings
Andi ;-)
Strong soulful band, the organ and the electric piano work great together. Enjoyable vocals express nicely the desperate prayer, reminds me of Tom Jones.
Janne
Nigel,
Love the organ opening!
Very solid backing track. Drums and Bass sound good. Well mixed.
Cool organ solo, too.
A listening treat.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for your comments.
No - the organ is straight "out of the box" BIAB Real Track by Chris Nole (green version) with just a large room reverb added and phrases edited in my DAW.

Nigel
Hi Tunemonger,
Thanks for your thoughts and I will look up Rick Estrin and the Nightcats now.

Nigel
Opens strong and builds from there!
Powerful vocal on this one, love the soulful articulation.
Very cool!

Nigel
Really well done with the organ and a nice overall arrangement (vocal reminded me of Amos Garrett).

Hi Om,
Thanks for your kind thoughts - much appreciated.
Yes Chuggin is still one of my favourite songs and I have recently remixed it. The Bass is hopefully in the right place in the mix now.

Nigel,
Terrific work on this . . . love that organ—really sets the blues tone. And your vocal just sells the rest. Outstanding!
All my best to you,
Deej
Great job. Your voice has a real professional sheen to it - as does the whole track, actually - from the writing to the crisp production. Bravo.
Nigel,
Awesome blues song. Love the arrangement, mix and vocal.
Bob
Hello Nigel ...
Man, that was a strong Blues number! It's hard to beat a B3 when you're talking Blues. You tamed that puppy just enough - the vocal and the B3 stole the show. That was a great listen - thanks! best to you ...
Alan
Little more R&B feel for us ... but that's a good thing.
Nice work on comping that B3 track. A little cut/paste/note alteration in the DAW can indeed enable an RT to work more specifically for your production.
Nice mix and a strong emotive vocal.
Well done,
J&B
Nigel,
Cool tune. Interesting blend of styles. Fun vocals, especially spoken part ~2:25. Enjoyed it. Thank you for sharing.
