Another Lonely Night

100 Bpm Key C#m

A storm has started brewing and lightning illuminates the mountains.
The rivers start to rise there fed by many fountains.
It's another tortured night and another lonely day without you.

Bridge

I cry into my hands, oh please take this burden from me.
For my strength has fled away, I'm not the man I used to be.
It's another tortured night and another lonely day without you.

Bridge

It's another tortured night and another lonely day without you.
It's another tortured night and another lonely day without you.
It's another tortured night and another lonely day without you.

Really nice, kind of an edgier Eagles to my ears. Liked the two passes you gave the electric guitar solo, and the ending was very good (how'd you pull that off?). Great work.
Hello Rob ...

Edgy! Super nice mix. That lead guitar cuts through the fog and shines - both times. I like the occasional acoustic guitar on the left channel - a nice contrast the melds perfectly.

Perhaps ramping up the bass a bit would give it even more drive. Just a thought. Great song -0 great delivery. Take care ...

This is a great song Rob, with such a strong and confident performance.
Love the hidden rhyme with "brewing" and "illuminates" in the first line; "A storm has started brewing and lightning illuminates the mountains."
Cheers,
Mike
Hi Rob,

that's a nice one for sure. A very good backing track with those guitar solos exactly where they belong. Very well-sung, too. Enjoyed the listen!

Take care,

Stefan
I thought I'd better join in with my fellow White Shoe Brigaders!
Rob,
Closer to your former style BUT still with a more aggressive, modern and VERY COOL edge to it.
You, and the likes of Misha, inspired me to climb out of my box for Just Let me Know.
My one crit is that the fade out was too fast - I'd have liked a) to hear more and b) to hear those tones a little louder.
this is a very tasty song arrangement mate.
love the way it bops along.
om
Rob

Enjoyed it - very nice vocal and a well chosen band.

A driving blues rock song well written and performed.

Peter
Hello TuneMonger.
Thank you for your comment.
For the ending, I just paused all instruments for a few bars.
Example (Cm...)

You might want to fix the typo in the title on SoundCloud.

Moody and minor - cool sound! The effects on your vocal work nicely here.

The song sticks in me mind after listening, which is always good. smile
Hi Bob
This is a great song
And BiaB was used really great
The instrument selection is very good
Your vocals fit the song very well
And the ending is really great
Both thumbs up
Many greetings
Andi ;-)

Hi, Rob. The word "edgy" is used a lot here to describe the feeling this song brings, and I agree. I immediately sat on the edge of my seat right after pushing Play, and didn't push back until the ending. Very cool ending vocal. Well, the whole vocal track is good, but I especially like your choice ending. Oh, and I can't leave without seconding Alan's suggestion of bringing the bass up.
Nicely done Rob!!! You are doing quite a variety of music these days, and doing it all well!! Nice song, arrangement, and, of course, vocal!! Enjoyed!! Take care. Greg
I really liked how you differentiated the parts in the song. Really well done with BIAB and the production
Listened a couple of times, Bob. Good vocal, atmospheric lyrics (literally in places) and great feel. Guitar solos suit the song really well. Another good one.
Regards,
Leon
Cool tune Rob. Very edgey guitars. Loved the chord progressions. Excellent vocal. Perfect for the tune
I like it!

A great write, a fine production.

Nice one Rob.

It's a good mashup of your older and newer productions.

Nicely mixed and performed ... no surprise there!
