I've spent lots of good times in New Orleans...
My wife and I even honeymooned there many years ago...
I love the vibe, the thick atmosphere, the sweaty heat, the great food, and especially the Music...

Here's one for ya...
Rue Toulouse

Biab Midi Drums, Bass, Trumpet, Organ
RealTrack- Alto Saxamafone
I wish I could list more BiaB details, but this is an older production

I played Keys (Brass/Horn fills & Clavinet), and my old Telecaster (rhythm & lead) thru a "64 Deluxe Reverb Amp, with loads of compression.
Mixed & mastered in Cakewalk...

Hope you all enjoy... Any and all Feedback is welcome, and appreciated.

New Orleans has been on my bucket list for many years now, just seems like such a cool place. One of these days!

Man, what a fabulous track! Great groove, love the horns, and great playing on the tele!

Very much enjoyed this one.

Where's the volume slide/knob/button on the Bandcamp page?
That was LOUD out of the blocks...I had to turn it down via Windows.
You have a great spanky guitar sound thanks to the tele and heavy compression.
Well done.

Fun track! Bit busy, instrumentally, but it certainly works!

Bloc,

Great toe-tapping song! Hard to pick out a favorite part. I start thinking, man love that rhythm, but wait hear that bass, oh cool organ, but oh man, that guitar, then come the horns - it just keeps going on and on. Loved it. Personally, I didn't think it was too busy I liked it all.

Thanks Dave... If you hang out in the Quarter, try the Coffee & Beignets at the French Market, and find a sturdy sharp pointy walking stick... seriously... for protection.

Thanks Andi, I wish I could elaborate, but it's been awhile, and I just can't remember much of the project details.
I do appreciate your interest, and I'm glad you liked it.

Haven't been to NOLA since 2019. Gotta get back. We should have a forum convention there. This is a very inviting piece, Bloc-head. You managed to bring in so many of the best elements of the town. Horns sound good, love that backbeat, too. After the tune is over I imagined a lone alto sax playing on a lonely street just outside the French Quarter with his case open at his feet, his sounds echoing off the surrounding buildings. Man, you took me back, brother. Thanks for the visit.

Hi Bloc-head,

Very swinging song, man. Enjoyed it a lot. Especially the bass, rhythm guitar and lead guitar, drums, horns, or in fact all the used instruments!
I only got confused. I thought New Orleans is the Jazz city while your song was a bit different.
But I have never been in that city and fear it won't happen. I'm getting older...

I enjoyed it very much, Bloc-head. I only was thinking a dark voice had to sing in it.

Sorry I've been out of pocket for awhile with two major home construction/repair projects, and very little time for Music production and attention to the User Showcase...
I want to thank everyone that spent any time listening and commenting on this little tune...
I really appreciate you all...

Man did you ever "nail" the sound on this! It's got the vibe for sure! Every part of this sounds great from the keys to the horns and especially the guitar! Radio quality! Enjoyed it!

Thanks, Torrey
