This is one of those "in the draw" songs. I have revisited over the years for lyric changes, etc. Happy to have finally and properly recorded it.

Very nice. Like all have said, you sure have a way with putting words to melody in order to paint pictures in the mind. Great mix and choice of instruments to make a unique sound to match those lyrics.

My only suggestion, other than some de-essing as usual, would be to soften the electric guitar with some reverb & EQ.

This is classic Robert Dean—great vocal and what a wonderful hook (“Like vampires under the sun”). Real interesting and fresh rhyme scheme in that write . . . and a stellar write it is. Such a clean, resounding production as well. Outstanding!

This is classic Robert Dean;the write, the spare drama of the arrangement and that voice.

We assuredly are happy that you opened that drawer.

The vivid pictures in your lyric are outstanding and memorable.

But you also choose just the right RT’s to even more vividly present the lyric with your vocal.
The softness of the fingerpicked acoustic against the “crispy” electric held chords works wonderfully.

The line, “Coltrane spins in the dark” was a real treat.
Janice said she could easily imagine Lucinda swaying back and forth singing this song.

Classic rsdean work once again. Dark and sad story with a nice title and indie mood. Interesting and nicely working combination of acoustic and electric guitar, kind of two faces of a vampire. Very good mix and enjoyable vocals.
